Traveler, I didn't know that about TX and BMWs. Interesting! But I meant to tell you before, I did see a PS/PS in the medical center a few weeks back. Looked good, but I am so excited that there will be an IB/IB in the city now, so I can admire the color up close! It is such a shame there is only one MINI dealership. Ah well. I suppose we'll manage.

I am going RIGHT NOW to check OL... I never look there because for like 6 months it said "on order" and began to get heartbreaking! (ok not quite 6 months but it was TOO LONG!) I don't trust that place... :smile: :smile: WHO WANTS THEIR MINI?!?! ME! ME! ME!

I've had a hard week! I'm so happy I got my VIN Wednesday and Today is Friday!
I'm going to the All Texas English Car Show Sunday! I'll get to see classic Minis and this year for the first time there's a catagory for MINIs! My friend, Chefrichie is taking his car ! It's going to be a good time!

Spoonleg, I totally agree about going to the Rallys! The one they had in Austin for the Italian Job had like 45 MINIs show up and they all drove out to the hill country and back. 45 MINIs all in a row, then 45 MINIs driving down the street! I can't wait to go to a few of those rallys each year! I've been invited to a Post-Boo MINI Rally, an after Halloween scarry ride on Nov 9th. I'd give my left lung to have Madeline by then but that's pushing it! I'll just write Madeline's Est Delivery date in white shoe polish on my back window of my Honda! Either way, that will be one fun ride!

oh, well, got to go watch Animal Cops, Houston!

and I've added the ASK MINI phone number to my signature ! Call them with your production number! I've called about twice a week and out of all of the Service Reps I've talked to only one acted like they don't give out any information. (an idiot!) He only caused me to call back the next day and the lady told me everything I'd ever want to know and more!!! (it was great!) and the man I talked to the last time was just like the lady, told me all about it moving down the line and I could call each day to see where it is! I think they have the information before it shows up on the MINI-USA site.

That's a deal. I'm going to wait until my MINI is on the ship and I'm going to call and ask about the Aero Kit. If I'm told it's not there and they don't know if or when it will be I'll just be nice and say "that's ok, I'll just go without it, please cancel it". Then I'll call that parts guy at I believe at Classic MINI and order the chrome grills to be shipped to me and I'll have Terry Slather (sponsor here on MCO) whos in Austin, put the grills on for me.

Because I do love both of those looks. It's sort of like opposites - black grills and chrome grills. Each has it's appeal and I would love either one.

And then I'll get out my check book for your list of toys!

I made a mistake and went to Target for some fold up chairs to take to the British Car show tomorrow. I had to walk past the car goods and I ended up buying a wash mit, wheel soft detail brush and a duster! I'm ready to clean a car that's not yet built!!

WE GOT OUR VIN#!!! Sorry if I sound a little excited. Anyway the number is: TC49829. I had not logged on MINIUSA for a few days, so you know I was excited when I logged on and it said Scheduled for Production. I am surprised I got the Vin number so soon when I was told this past Monday (9/22) that I would start production on (9/29) and I would not have the Vin # until production was few days in. Happy days are here again. Well the next step will be agonizing over Gary getting on a ship and sailing to the west coast. I hope he has plenty of sunblock, his life vest nearby, and good sailing weather.

It's Monday morning and do you know where your MINI is? Well, I do. Its's officially done!!! I am awaiting transport to the dock. So move me up to status 160!! I'll be on the slow boat to Cali, so I'm expecting to see my lil' bundle of joy either at the very end of October or the very beginning of November!!! I can't wait!

I just called and you can move me to 160 as well.

JET, our cars sound almost identical except i've got Anthracite inside and I skipped the Xenons – it'll be interesting to see what the difference in arrival time will be between the two as I'm on the east coast (FLA). They're telling me end of Oct as well.

I called this morning and I am now status 112. WooHoo! Now I can quit worrying about options.

I imagine that the rest of the folks on the 111 list may be 112 by now as well.

Ryan - Thanks for the eye candy. I can't get enough MINI pics right now. Did I read somewhere that for 04 the digital readout will switch between temperature and speed?
