I just ordered my MCS today, and the dealer gave me a production date of 10/31. I thought I'd be optimistic and join the November thread. :smile:

Here are my specs:

Indi Blue/White, 16" white v-spokes
Black cloth interior/anthracite trim
Premium Package
Fog Lights
HK Stereo

Please cross your fingers for me, so I can get my MCS by the end of November!

I'm guessing my "black cloth" you really mean the black and dark gray (but really Silver) Space cloth?

Cool. I'm sure we'll get a few more 10/31 people trying to sneak in under the November wire.

 

On Order, Checked website they now have the right car listed for my Production # MCS-Dark Gray/Dark Gray Interior -Black leathereette/ Trim Anthracite Packages 1,3 Everything on package 2 but went with 16" wheels???? HK up grade mirror/ rain sensor wiper I was going to go with PW but changed my mind, Same with the wheels 16/17???

Welcome Countrym - the more the merrier! When you have to wait a few weeks for something it really helps to be around others in the same situation! I've found it really neat to watch the production status codes change for the VIN numbers.

I wasn't going to call again until Friday but with MM2 going to Status 160 I just had to call ! I just hung up from talking to Seth and Madeline is also at 160 !!

Spoonleg - I found the Tillamook cheese on sale at Randalls! and it was 2 for $4.00 and each one was 8 oz for $2.00 so it's .25cents an ounce! well, I bought 4 of them!! I'm in cheese heaven!!

Yes Pebs, that's where I found the Tillamook- right next to my yummy .25 cent Lucerene PJ cheese sticks! So I bought them all!! I'm gonna be in trouble with all this cheese!! (MMMM MMM SATURATED FAT!) I haven't thought about which ones- will have to do an inventory and get back to you! (This decision is oh-so important, as you all can understand)

You can never count on W&W...they don't "report in" but they do tend to arrive on time (in my case it was a day early).

Very helpful rep (was it Jeff?). Anyway he said that they don't show the status codes any more. The implication was that it was not even available on his screen. Is this true? The bad news is that it could be a week before it hits the body shop. Anyway this is progress.

Congrats Traveler! When I called MINIUSA yesterday I spoke to Jeff who also darted around the codes. He would only tell me that our car started production on September 25th and assembly will start on Monday. They are being vague. I also got my VIN# before our MA. She has since given it to our credit union so that they can finalize our loan.

Ryephile I have a question for you. Which ships go to the west coast? I know it takes a few weeks longer for us westies to get delivery. Do the ships that leave Southhampton go to the east coast first and than the west coast? Any information you have would be greatly appreciated.

Hope you all have a great weekend. It is great to see the names of those in this group whose cars are already on ships. What an exciting time for all of us.

 

Just called for a Friday update, and the Ragdollcatz Twinz are at status 151--in the body shop being shafted. Paint shop on Monday!

I can't believe they're real! I could go and touch their silvery innards!

David and I took the kids to Europe last year. If only we had done it this year, as we were in Oxford--we could have visited the babies! (Riiiiight)

In reading the prior two posts, I find it interesting that I got codes today, and others aren't. I wonder if it has anything to do with who you talk to? Today I had Richard? Richmund? and he offered codes before I even pressed him for the info.. A few days ago I had James and he gave the code, when asked, as has John earlier in the month. Maybe we should keep a log of people we talk to, and if we get a baddie, we ask for someone else.... Hey, it's our CARS we're talkin' about here--don't hold out on us!

I called Rasmussen MINI (Portland Oregon) the other day, and they stated that their cars come into Port Hueneme, CA and are trucked north. Given that there are ports in Tacoma and Vancouver, WA, I found this interesting. I tracked the schedules on W&W and it looks like they go from Southhampton, to Brunswick, GA, then begin hitting west coast ports, taking two weeks from GA to CA.

Hey Ragdollcatz, I just talked to Rich-something myself. Best rep I've talked to so far. :smile: YIPEE!!!!! I just wish somebody else in my little corner of the world was expecting one also.

 

Thanks for the info Ragdollcatz. I didn't realize the cars had a stop in Georgia before they headed off to the west coast. I also heard from my MA that they will be coming into Port Hueneme. That is only an 8 hour drive away from our dealer. Looks like we might have our cars before Thanksgiving. It all depends when they can get their little buns onto the boat.

I just called MINIUSA and spoke to Percy and I am at code 152 (Paint Shop). UKNUT our cars are getting painted at the same time. Percy was real informative, but I did have to ask him for the code number. So far the only person who refuses to give me a code number is Tony. The others I have to ask for status, and than look at code list and confirm the code number with them. They should make this information automated on the phone or their website for the folks just looking for daily, or weekly status.

Who else called for an update today?
