What's up Calvin! Only two questions: color of your S-lites, and which interior trim? I'll mix you in in a bit, welcome aboard.

Happy Monday everyone. Well I just had an interesting conversation with MINIUSA. I spoke to Tony, who stated that Gary has been moved to "Scheduled for Production". When I asked if this was Code 112, he stated that they are no longer giving out the codes since this is too confusing for everyone. Has anyone else encountered this? When did this change? Anyway, Tony told me Gary will actually start production on a Monday, two weeks before the Production date, which makes it 9/29. I also asked when I will be able to receive a VIN #, and Tony told me that during the production process the number will be assigned. I left that coversation a little confused, but at least we are still on schedule. I am curious if anyone else is receiving this type of vague information.

Welcome aboard Calvin and Kyle. The members of the November Club are a very informative group and will be able to help you through this process.

Ryephile, love those wheels.

Pebbles, thanks for the uplifting words. I can't believe September is almost over. You couldn't tell by the weather though. It was 100 yesterday and today it is going to be a chilly 98. Boy, better get my jacket out.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Welcome Calvin and Kyle!! Glad to have you aboard !
You will love waiting with us!
if loving the waiting is possible, then it's happening here!

I called ASKMINI once and don't remember the guys name, but like Tony, he didn't know much and wouldn't say much. Well, I waited a day and called back and got a guy who told me what the status codes meant and told me lots of neat stuff. No wonder they have customers calling back 2-3 times a day. What information you get, depends on the level of knowledge in your service rep! Some may not know as much as others. I know I've had some really nice people help me there.

>>
>>These names are a total reflection of the creativity of the members of MCO !

Thanks Pebbles! I T-Rex is such a cool car....I love it.
I was lucky to find what I wanted....it didnt take me to long to decide when I found out I had to wait 2 months.
Anyway, as soon as I get pics of my baby, I'll post them.

All the best to everyone else waiting for November

Welcome Critical to MCO and The November Club

I got the S-lites the first time around, and I'm getting them again strictly because they look awesome. I'm a total performance *****, but then again I'm not racing my MINI, so aesthetics are first, and performance a close second. In the case of the wheels, aesthetics won over a slightly pudgy wheel.

Here is the breakdown in weight between the MCS's stock 16's and the S-lites in the Sport package:

V-spoke + Dunlop 5000 = 18+23.5=41.5lbs
S-lite + Pirelli Euphoria = 25+22=47lbs

Now check out a forged 18" wheel/tire combo:
SSR Comp 18" = Pirelli PZero Nero 215/35-18 = 14+20=34lbs

Cheers,
Ryan

Well being on the caboose (as Pebbles corrected me) is giving me way too much time to agonize over my selections. I'm seriously considering a change to DS. Oh well, off to another long night trolling the photo galleries.

Traveler: My vote goes to keep your all PS MCS, they're rare, and we'll miss not having a "Tin Man MINI"!

Oh, I just ordered those wheels pictured at the top of this page. I'll keep you posted on the whole experience.

Seriously, you can spend days there and end up KNOWING they all look fantastic. Do the GUT test, sleep on it and then ask your gut if it's what you can live with and not have regrets! if you don't get an answer, then sleep the next night on your 2nd choice of color and see what your gut says!!

Good luck! It took me months to decide between IB and CR. It was hell! I finially got it down to the CR because I knew I'd regret NOT having the CR if I got the IB.
I had to go with Having No Regrets!

I hope we all move up a status code TONIGHT !!!
(the crowd gets to it's feet in a standing ovation)

[gasp!] Miss Pebbles, I'm shocked I got just the wheels because I have a local hookup for tires. The salesdude said I should expect them Friday/Monday.

That sucks to hear Spoonie; seems that one or two of the people at ASKMINI are grouches I hopefully have time to call them tomorrow.
Your dealership should know your exact production status number, and it should be accurate to within a day (they get daily updates of all cars they have on order, of course, that doesn't necessarily mean their updates are accurate )

Woah, I've gotta get to bed, whew, late night of insomia for me....

    BOOOO!

My MA called me this morning out of the blue to tell me
that the car should be done shortly, if not already. However, that 3-4
weeks they estimated last Friday has now turned into 4-6 - I guess I'll
be walking around with my head down the rest of the day...

On the bright side, I can save up a little more of a DP in that time

BTW - I have successfully not purchased ANYTHING for my MINI yet, though I
    have PLANNED all my purchases
