I am new to using the WW sight but I thought I'd try since I found out that Sgt. Pepper
was finished yesterday. I did get some information to come up using my full VIN. The
end of my VIN is TJ53893. It looks like I am scheduled to sail on the Tosca leaving
Southampton on 9-30 and arriving in NYC on 10-9. Hope it doesn't take more than
a week from then. Starting to feel real. Ryan, thanks for being our Border Collie.

Delivery from Dealer on 9/30.

I don't know why it will take that long, but he is gonna "squeeze me in" at 3:00. I guess maybe I should have bought more dealer options to get my car sooner.

It looks great sitting in the parking lot. I had originally ordered Gold with Black, but I changed it to Red with Black, and it looks so much better to me. The chrome on the bumper makes the car look like it's smiling.

The weekend is looking to be great sunroof weather, so I'm a little bummed out at the extended wait.

I'll be sure to check in sometime next week with my first impressions.

 

well as you all can guess, I am extremely frustrated by the fact that my car is at the dealer, my insurance is all set, and I'm ready to hand MINI of Peabody money, but thanks to those (insert whichever word you want to call them) at MINI, I cannot take delivery of my car.

I called 866-ASK-MINI to complain, but the guy was like, huh? He entered my complaint in the computer, but had nothing to say to help my situation. My MINI is missing a piece of paper called the Certificate of Origin. In Massachusetts, without it, I cannot register my car, so I cannot take delivery....... Why can't MINI coordinate it so that that piece of paper gets to the dealers BEFORE the car gets here? How about ship it with the car and save them some Fedex cost? What are they thinking when they decided to send the certificate of origin AFTER the car has arrived at the dealership? I can picture one smart MINI exec speaking in a meeting..... yeah, let's make sure the customer can't take delivery of his car by delaying his paperwork.... That way we can be sure that our customers will love us and give us high ratings....... hmmm no wonder MINI messes up so many simple things.

Come on MINI, get your act together. Such simple thing as a piece of paper shouldn't be the only thing keeping a MINI owner from his MINI. Just fax the damn paper over.......... Excuse my language.... I am extremely frustrated. Sorry for the rant, and thank you for reading.....

 

Well kids, this may be the end of the road for me...seems I'm having a little more difficulty securing a loan than I realized...and I am in the middle of a move, so, starting tomorrow, I will be computer-less for about a week. I may or may not be back, so if I can get a loan, great, maybe I can motor with y'all sometime...if not, it's been fun, be safe, and have fun driving your little bundles of joy.

 

Oh man thrill, that must be such a let down for you if my heart broke when I read it. I really hope you get a loan man.

I got approved for $22k at 4.25% which will most likely beat anything Mini/bmw offer me. Especially since I ordered the car and put down my deposit before negotiating the freaking loan. I realized I had put myself in bad position and am pretty happy with 4.25% apr. I got my blank check the other day now I just hope the dealership (stealership) dosen't give me a hard time. I mean what am I gonna do, play hardball, walk away without my MINI, threaten to go somewhere else and wait 5 more months, or go and get a Matrix?

hey future mini owners...i've always by-passed this thread before cause i never joined mco until after i hopped in my mc. but now i'm glad to announce that i'm officially in the club cause my brg/w mcs is due for delivery on 10/5 at mini of hawaii!

now, how did you guys all find out what ship your mini is on? is that for real? like tanabata, don quixote and tai shan? don't know what boat mine is on. but i do know that it's coming over from the vehicle distribution center and the next stop is mini of hawaii!

hey thrillhouse...if things don't work out presently, hopefully things will work out in the near future. mini's will still be around, and you can always get one later when everything is in order, right?

I also want to Thank RYAN; I checked the WW website this morning and WALLAAA, I am ready to set sail 9/30 on the TOSCA to Charleston S.C. !!!!!!!!!! Arriving on October 11th. Placed my build order May 28th.

This tracking thing is pretty neat. I would love to see a video clip of our babies actually being driven on the ship and being tied down for transport. Oh well, it does not hurt to dream

That's less than 2 weeks away! Now the only bad thing is that I will have to wait until the following week to get it. Sarah will be in Utah that weekend and will kick my butt if I get it without her.

It's so stinking close I can taste it!!!!!!!!!

 

I noticed that my estimated delivery date at Mini USA was changed from the 25th to the 29th. That shouldn't affect me too much since I wasn't planning on picking "Rosie" up until Friday the 3rd. The dealer should still have plenty of time to add the chrome grill and driving lights.

My edd is the 10 too which is perfect because I wont be able to go back till the 10th and wouldnt be able to get it till the 11th, so my dad has to wait for me, ha!

I can't stand the wait so I went to visit my MINI today at the dealership.
(sorry guys, the digital camera I borrowed somehow failed to focusl, so all my pics look blurry.....)
I have to say the sight of 60 MINIs just off the truck awaiting delivery is quite impressive.

They received 24 cars on Friday, and two more truckloads of them on Saturday. The parking lot was so full I had to park quite far away. I probably won't be able to take delivery inside their showroom, under the nice cover, because so many cars have to be delivered. I will give you all a full report on Monday night, if the certificate of origin gets to my dealership.

 

My mini is also at the dealer. But they said they got 29 cars in Thurs & Fri and it will take a while to get them prepped. I don' t know if they got more Saturday. My MA isn't making any promises on delivery.

Anyone know how long it takes to prep each car? There probably isn't much to do, but even an hour or so per car could really add up If anyone orders a roof rack, invinca-shield, or other dealer options, I'm sure it would really slow things down.

I'd be thrilled to have it Mon or Tue. But I'm afraid I may be in October after all.

I hope they have Andre sitting in the showroom (they better since it's a unique EB/EB color) and I can just drive it down and out the ramp, that would be so sweet. I should get my dad to get the video camera ready and I'll bring my digi with me from college. The first time I was in there they had an all EB sitting in the middle of the showroom waiting for delivery, that's what made my mind up on the color (besides the fact that it's pretty much baby blue, my favorite color). They never have any EBs on the lot every time I've been so maybe they'll put mine in the showroom so people go inside to look at it (BUT NOT TOUCH) and get caught stuck inside with a MA trying to sell them a car. When I was looking at the list of cars they had ordered there were only like 5 so maybe I will get placed in the showroom. Ah, let me stop blabbering.

 

it is getting close now. TANABATA will be in usa soil in 2 days. will be in SC in 5 days. I have the edd 10/09 so it should be here by the 6th i guess since the dealer always give a long date. i have seen a thread somewhere about why they gave longer estimate dd. coz dealers does not want people keep bothering them before the car is ready.
anyway. i'm so ready to pick it up now. all i need is get my loan setup, since it has already approved. 4.74% with one year credit history in usa, poor students!

I got nothing else except my laptop and my MINI. OMG. but whatever i dont care. i might win the lottery one day and i will buy a MINI dealership and sell MINI under MSRP just for fun!

Just looked at oceanweather.com and it seems that TANABATA thinks that since they are so close they dont have to report the weather anymore, well I say what about all the crap fishers up in the chesapeak, maybe they wana know the weather off the coast! Last known coordinates were 62 W and 40 N
