The good days are coming, i have got a incredible insurance rate too. i'm so happy about everything worked out so good, and now is time for the big time host to be show up in the dealership for me to pick up!

woah, Monday will be a busy day in here; lots of deliveries, and ships getting close to the docks - does everyone else feel the tension!

 

chris, I got to FSU in Tallahassee, Florida, but my family (and me when not in school) lives in Jacksonville, Florida. The one good thing about school so far has been that it has kept me somewhat occupied so that I only think about Andre part of my waking hours instead of all of them, plus my girlfriend isnt here so that's just another part of my mind that was freed up for the MINI to take over. Im definately all over the tracking as it gives me something to do and my dad is too lazy, plus it's funny when you go into the dealer like I did last weekend and ask where Andre was only to have him tell me that it was finished (at that point it had been done for 3 days and was already leaving on the TANABATA).

I've felt the tension since we placed our order!

By the way if things go as planned and I take delivery of my car on the 11th then that leaves exactly 13 days 5 hours and 26 minutes till Tom Bush opens at 9am on Saturday (it's 9/28/03 3:34am east coast now). There's no way in hell I'll be up at nine unless I stay up all night (which I probably will) so it'll probably be no earlier than noon. Hope they get the car earlier than that and can get the roadblock installed.

And for a third edit, 400 posts, yeah great! I get a cookie and a gold star.

Good news. Sgt. Pepper was received at the terminal in
Southampton on Saturday, Sept. 27th. Should be ready
to set sail on the 30th on the Tosca. I noticed quite a few
other CWFO members coming over with me on the Tosca.
Maybe Isaac can make us all up a special concoction on
the Lido deck

 

YEAH! My MINI is sleeping in the garage. We picked the car up yesterday!! Wooo Hoooo. Let me just say I LOVE IT!!! I'm trying to post some pics. The cordoba leather with the anthracite and sport seats looks soooo cool! If I do say so myself! The pics aren't the greatest we got caught in a HUGE rainstorm last night and it's been raining this morning. Oh well, so she needs a bath!

I have a PW/PW MCS with cordoba beige leather and anthracite interior on the Don Quixote which is due to arrive on Oct 14th in Port Hueneme, Calif. I sold my PW/PW MINI Cooper a few weeks ago and I'm anxious for the new car. If you have pictures of the new interior, this would surely help. It will probably be at the dealer by the third week in October. It's amazing how much you miss a car, if only for a few long weeks. East coast people should really appreciate the fact they save almost two weeks in delivery time.
Thanks again if you can post some pictures.

 

My EDD is also 10/10/03.... :smile: Can't wait... hopefully it will come in a few days early... (As I'm carless right now)... I think my boss will get sick of driving me to and fro work every day very fast....

Thanks bk_mcs! No worries your MINI will be there before you know it. I soooo know how you feel though. That last week was brutal!!! I'm just happy my MINI is here. I don't have any accessories installed though. My dealer was too far away and if we had accessories installed there it would have been a couple weeks before we got it (my schedule). No biggie I'll just get it done here in town shortly.

All: Mp3 update: Yes the radio/cd does play mp3's (and some various other formats, let me know if you want specifics)

Also, I am posting more interior pics in the gallery and a couple night shots we just took. Oh, and the key pic, although it didn't come out very well.

For your info.. the CD Boost stereo in my 2002 Cooper CVT (August 2002 build) does indeed play MP3's with no problems. I made the discovery a couple of weeks ago when a friend of mine burned a clean music CD with MP3 format music files. The CD plays perfectly fine in my 2002 stock stereo deck (Sounds great too). the funny thing is that the same CD will not play in my friend's $30K 2003 Nissan 350Z....needless to say he is pissed!

 

is it only ther HK system that will play mp3's or the standard one too?

That's too bad about the key. I don't really care though I think it's still cool. It does have a separate button to lock or unlock but I guess everyone was looking for something more??? The one interesting thing is that my key (the one in the pic) has the silver mini logo to unlock and the black lock logo. My husband's key is all black. I guess most people use that second key as a spare.

Cooper4us: Thanks, I can't wait to see yours. Are you having the chrome grill and mirrors installed before you pick it up??? I need to schedule an appointment to have all my accessories installed.

Chrisfb1: I just put a cd in that I had burned a bunch of music to and voila, it played! I don't have the aux input yet so I can't test it playing through my mp3 player.

guru220: I can't answer your question, I have the H/K. (Oh I guess you probably already knew that from my pics) We should have an answer soon as everyone starts taking delivery!
