My status has finally changed to " At Distribution center" in the Owner's Lounge. The est delivery date still says 10/2. I was hoping to be motoring by this weekend but it looks like that it will be happening no sooner than Thursday of next week. This wait is too much!!!

Ryan, I'm surprised too! I thought I'd be rolling off the assembly line by now. Maybe, the MINI operator is confused! It can be very frustrating dealing with ASK MINI sometimes. I seem to get a different story each time I call and most of the operators won't give out status codes anymore. AAARRRGHHH! Also, where exactly do you type in your VIN on the WW site to track? do I type in the whole #? or just the last seven digits? thanks

 

Welp, I am very late coming into this thread but...

My 8/26/03 ordered MC has just finished production on 9/25/03 so I should be taking delivery of it some time in October. I hope this makes me a "Can't wait for October Club" member.

when attempting to track my mini on the WW site which method do I choose?
(booking num, bill of lading, Auto, etc..)
know this has been addressed here but this thread is so large I could not find Ryan's original post.

Choose Auto and enter your full VIN or the last 7 numbers/letters.

My fellow TANABATA riders, our boat seems to have reported twice today, one a 6 and one at 12. And it is still moving one line a day so we seem to be on track for the 1st if not earlier.

 

Oh my goodness the owners lounge is so slow. They still have me as awaiting transport. At least give me a on the boat or edd.

 

Ryan, I don't know what happened. I WAS loaded on the Tai Shan , then unloaded and put on the wait list. Now i am booked on theTosca.There were about 36 that were rebooked from the Tai Shan to the Tosca and I was there on thurs last week!! This just gives me more time to but stuff, tim

I felt the same way michaelchadwell. Just give it a few days, the TANABATA didnt report until it was half way across the atlantic. Check the table instead of looking at the map, if you dont know where it is, after you click the marine observations it's in the top right, it's called the observation table, the ships are listed in alpha order by call sign.

 

Received an update from my dealer today (MINI of Murry - Utah).

This ship my MINI is on docks in California on October 1st and should be at the deal approximately 2 weeks after that. So I'm looking at about an October 15th delivery and the first 2004 MINI Cooper S in Utah!

3 weeks has never seemed so long.

OK! I have some news for you guys re: the VPC. First off, my MINI is at the dealer right now! I was driving by at lunch and didn't see it, so I thought well, another day. As I was driving away, a large white truck had the initials BMT. Upon closer inspection, I noticed it was Bayerisch Motor Transport, or something to that effect. U-turn in effect. I waited around for another 15 minutes or so and watched it pull into a nearby building. I couldn't wait around any longer and proceeded back to work. On my way home, lo and behold, there it sits!! So, I go in, and my MA has the day off. A very nice detail-oriented guy went over my entire order, my programming options, insurance information, and scheduled delivery for Monday!! He said this was the very first shipment of 2004 MINI's at Westchester.

Also, NEWS FLASH for those whose MINI's are waiting patiently at the VPC, and this applies to you Katana. The wait should probably be over for you too soon, but apparently, they ran out of official window stickers!! So, they had to wait longer than they otherwise would. :smile: :smile: :smile:

 

Muhahahahahaha, if you take delivery on monday you wont be apart of the October club. You will have wasted the last few months of your life in this thread. Muhahahahaha.

Just kidding. Lucky son of a b, you get yours on monday, I'm hoping to pick up on the 11th.

 

My MINI was in fact dropped off in NY from the Jingu Maru on the 19th even though it never showed up correctly on the WW web site. I emailed my MA yesterday and today it was confirmed that my MINI got out of VPC yesterday and today made it on the transport. It is scheduled to arrive at the dealer on Monday

This is soooooo cool!!!!! Anyway, since the dealer is 200-odd miles away I can't get it until next weekend anyway, but that means they can get everything taken care of....like install my JCW and it will be ready for me to bring home!!!!!!!!! Yippee!!!!!!! I can't wait!!!!

I hear you guys! I am a 9/19er waiting for a ship. I checked the WW site entering my 17 digit VIN, but nothing pulls up. It will be arriving to the Charleston South Carolina VPC for a FL state delivery. I am hoping for a mid October pick-up. The closer it gets to delivery, the more I can't stop thinking about my MCS !!!

The TaiShan isn't listed on the "Observation Table". Hopefully it has really set sail.

I'll go check. Maybe thats whay they're going so fast, because of all the storms and what not. I'd be devastated if it sank and I had to wait or if my Andre was damaged. I just wouldnt be able to live anymore.

speltzeer, try entering just the TD... part, that might work, some work with only the whole thing and some work with only the last 7. Where abouts in Floriad are you. My family lives in the Jacksonville area (orange park to be exact) and I go to FSU. I'm still trying to convince dad that I really need it, I DO!

Hi everyone..I just checked the MINIUSA site O.L. ......lo & behold they updated my EDD date from 10/2 to 9/28 since yesterday! But we still won't be going to pick her up for another month, so I guess that keeps us in the club! lol ......hey and congrats Ryan on getting your VIN, things should start clicking right along now!
