>>Welcome to The October Club BullyBob, your Cooper should be getting assembled right now! Have you called 1-866-ASK-MINI, or checked the MINIUSA.com Owners Lounge? I'll have you updated and into the webpage tomorrow, I'm very busy just now.
>>
>>Cheers,
>>Ryan
Thank you! My MC is already assembled and is waiting for transport to the port. It likely is already there. I call ASK-MINI daily as well as check the OL but they are consistently behind. Customer service has been invaluable at ASK-MINI, in my experience. I expect delivery to my Atlanta dealer around 10/20 (fingers crossed).

Hmm...my car is spending its third day in the paint shop. Getting a little antsy...hopefully it just means AskiMini hasn't been updated since then or they've run out of Electric Blue paint.
Anyone with a VIN higher than mine have any better news? TD75857....
Thanks
Mike

And I forgot to congratulate Ryan on reaching status 150! And thanks for keeping all of us in mind with your helpful updates. Helps me figure out when I might finish and get on a ship by seeing everyone else's VINs and such.

thank you rrypma for the heads up.
Just called my MA, and he said they got 24 cars off the truck this morning. (that's A LOT of cars....) My car is sitting at the dealer right now. We just have to wait for the Certificate of Origin to be Fedexed from New Jersey. Monday or Tuesday, won't be long now

Stick a fork in me, I'm done! Just found out that Sgt. Pepper
finished production on Sept. 25th. Just awaiting transport
to the dock now. Good thing too because I just sold my Vibe
and have to deliver it tomorrow. I will be without a car until
the Mini comes in. Could be a very long 3-4 weeks.

How did you like your Pontiac Vibe? Why did you sell it? Before we knew or even considered the MINI, we had our sights on a new Vibe but during the test drive the car felt pretty much what it is...a soft and sluggish running Toyota Corolla.
Otherwise is not a bad car, practical and comfy in the back.
Congrats on your new PW MCS and enjoy!

Sorry folks, I joined the wrong club .
I drove by the dealer today, and saw my MINI sitting on the truck!!!!
I put the call in to my motoring advisor hoping to talk him into picking it up this afternoon. If not I'm sure I'll have it tomorrow  I made sure he knew I had a credit union check to give him, so hopefully that will help swing things my way!!
My production date was 9/5, and my VIN ends in TC48810. I am taking delivery from MINI of Sterling.

OK, now this is odd.
I talked to the MA, and he said he would try to get it out today, but "it's Friday, and the technicians like to leave early on Fridays." I honestly didn't know how to reply to that. If I complain about it my MINI could end up at the end of the line, and I definitely don't want that to happen.
Even worse, if it isn't done today, and they did get 2 truckloads of cars, it will be TUESDAY until I can pick it up. I know they are open tomorrow, but I guess they don't prep the new cars?
I was really excited until I heard the update from the MA
The car looked great, and I want to be driving it this weekend instead of visiting it on the dealer lot!

At the very least he could have said that they will try to get to it, but since so many cars came in they might not until next week. Pretty stupid of him to say it is because the techs like to leave early on Friday. Yeah, me too, but I don't get to!
Give them a piece of your mind because they won't have any good excuse to move you to the back of the line. After waiting how long for this car, he gave you a pretty lame excuse AND gave you a good reason to use to get your car today. If you don't way anything, they certainly won't work too hard to get you your car today.
Too bad, so sad, now prep my car!

I really liked the Vibe. Other than being a little slow, it had great utility and looked good to boot.
The Toyota quality was definitely there. We got 35 mpg on a trip this summer. I only owned the
car for 6 months but was able to sell it for what I paid (I got a good discount when I bought it).
Only sold it to take advantage of the 24 month lease now out on the 2004 Grand Prix. This too
is a fantastic deal for those who can buy with the GM family discount. But the Pontiacs are for my
wife to drive. I traded my 2002 Mini in on the 2004 Mini that I'm waiting for now. But my dealer
sold my Mini the same day that I turned it in (Silk Green) so now I'm carless. Good thing I only
work 4 blocks from my home.
Agree with the congrats to Ryan - what a great job he has done in here to keep us abreast of the MC/MCS progress as they inch their way through production and toward home.
I know the large October club may be due to he new 04's, but Ryan also has alot to do with that.
RYAN (as you say to the rest of us here) - CHEERS, and good speed and great motoring miles.
John

You sound like my mom because her brother owns 8 GM dealerships and she would get a discount from him plus whatever the GM credit card gave her, so needless to say we have been driving GMs forever, the only non GM car we have had is a 96 Toyota Tacoma, and that was only because my dad worked for Toyota at the time and they made it pretty clear that it was hard to advance any further up the corporate ladder unless he had a Toyota in the garage. Andre will be the fist car we have ever bought that isnt a GM or for job reasons. Purely a fun car for my dad to commute in and me to enjoy when I'm back from FSU (unless I get him to realize that I need it here! I do!).

AAAARRRRGGGHHH!!! Today was suppose to be my MINI's birthday, but ASK MINI has informed me that it's still somewhere in the birth canal getting paint all over it! This is not what I wanted to hear today. I even called late in the day in anticipation of hearing the good news. I have a feeling that it is actually done and the ASK MINI people just aren't up to speed on the real status. soooo frustrating!
Mokefe, good to hear that your status has been updated. My VIN is a little higher than yours (TD76000), so hopefully I will be joining you soon at the dock. My boat is going to take awhile though... its going to California... hopefully before the end of October.
Ryan, keep up the good work and thanks.
