Octaneguy, if that is really who you are.

I will need your CC information along with the expiration date and the three digits on the back of the card to verifiy your identity.

Man.....I have waited 5 days for my MTH files. Longest ever..before this was 4 days. Anyone ever had success with emailing him and asking if he got the files or not?

I have gone ahead and resent Franz my files and told him I have waited 5 days and had no response. I know I have heard of him taking vacations or something in the past but I'm not paitent

I did that once....

And I got both back, with the second request coming in before the first. I know it's hard to wait, but you have no choice! There is one way to lessen the pain, ask for the map for your next mods before you do the mod! I got about three maps at once from Franz, so I could just change them as I changed the car. Saves time, and anguish (I like immidiat gratification too!)

I'm one step ahead of you. I told him "by the chance I get this I will have a M7 AGS and would like that added in" But yah I like having multiple ones to flash back and forth.

I received my new file from Franz this morning and he also sent me a picture...

I'm waiting for more details from Franz, but it looks pretty nice!

Okay, check this out. I got a new file back from Franz this morning and the following picture was attached to the email. Looks like he's got a new product.

Can someone please get some details on this guage setup and possibly a shot of the guages while active (to see the color and backlighting).

It's clear the left one is an A/F guage but what is the guage on the right?

Anyone know how it mounts?

Price?

It almost seems like the other side would be HP....it says power on it. Its kinda like the gauge pilo was just advertising

I got an email back from him to with that attached. I had sent him my files twice and he said he never got the first. He also said the files I sent him were corrupt. So I have to redownload them.

The purpose of this thread is to support member-to-member installations of MTH software. As MTH is not a recognized vendor on the site, posting of emails from Franz or others associated with MTH is not allowed since it is considered advertising of their new products.

Additional posts outside of the scope of member-to-member support for software installations will be removed without notice.

I'd really like this is I can hook it up, log the data and send for a more exact tuning a/f map! I wouldn't mount it though, no need to see it all the time once it's tuned right. I wonder if we can just send him other data sources to get better maps?

Has anyone had any trouble sending files to Franz via his website lately? I have. Twice Franz said he didn't get anything and a 3rd time they were corrupt. Am I crazy or what? I told him on my 4th attempt I will email them to him directly.

I sent file & recieved files from him (about the same time you did). Everything came out fine.

Why doesn't he just say:

"...MTH is not a paying vendor on the site..."

I guess

"
recognized" = "paying"

would that be the correct translation?

LOL

I guess your only option is to come join us in the MTH forum (minimods.us), where MTH can be freely talked!

Translation: You can only talk about companies that are paying NAM, but nothing else.

Seems kinda odd to me

If you will revisit the beginning post of this thread I explained that this thread was to for members to help other members install MTH software on their cars. It did not, however, mention that new MTH products were to be promoted by someone posting one of Franz's emails here. (This is what was removed above) If you want to talk about new MTH products start another thread and leave out emails from Franz that are posted on his behalf. All I ask is that posts are not made by "friend of a friend of Franz" in an attempt to bypass our vendor policies. If a post gives this impression to the moderation team it will be removed without warning. Franz has elected not to support NAM but the site will support our members in sharing information.

MTH Cartune and missing ID Number

Hello all

I ran my MTH Cartune Application on my Mini and it comes back with some of the vehile ID information but not all. It has the Basic Part Number and the Programmed Part Number but not the Vehile Identification Number (which I need to generate the Key Code). Has anyone else had this problem or know the workaround????

Regards

What year MINI and what version of CarTune?

If it's a 2005, you must have version 1.1.16.x for it to work. If you don't have the right version, write to Franz and ask him to email the latest version to you.

I respect this! At least, NAM mods let us talk about MTH, instead of MINI2 deleting all MTH-related posts...

I uploaded my file from Franz earlier and for the first time I had the SES (Service Engine Soon) Light come on. I was flabergasted!! So I figured it must be just the new software. So I went for a short drive and pulled over every mile or so and cut the engine off and then on again. As I have heard that a few good restarts along with driving usually clears a simple code.

So then comes a question. I had Franz program it for a Intake which I have not yet installed (should be here tomorrow), do you think thats what caused the SES light? I know I shouldn't of put the software on yet but I wanted to feel a diffrence

I also got the SES light after installing the MTH software on my 05 MCS automatic. I have a reader / reset tool. It was a single error - had never seen it before (sorry, can't remember what number -07 something or 70 something). I cleared it and it has not recurred. So in any case I don't think it was necessarily due to your putting in the software prior to the intake mod.
