OK I just noticed you are the guy that ordered Sashas. So that explains the differnce in cable - sorry, can't give any tips for that other than make sure you installed the driver.

I'll say for anyone else looking for a cable - the sensolutions worked like a charm and came 2nd day - why anyone would order from the other place is beyond me.

 

well i was new to the MTH things so i order from the wrong place...

i think what im going to do is return this one... if possible.. and order from sensolutions... do you have their webiste or order phone# i can order from?

I understand also that Franz is a 1 man shop. It would be nice if there was some sort of estimated time he could send us whenever we submit files.

BTW: Received my second files today. Just like last time, it took about 3 days to receive.

 

You can always go to minimods.us and post your queries directly to Franz. He hops on the site every few days to answer things.

 

I did and he hasn't posted in over a week.

 

I got my file back about an hour ago, I sent it in last week.

 

I'm interested ...... are there any Colorado MTH users? I'd really like to experience the difference first hand.

I might have a cable to sell... if my order didn't get cancelled. Orginally, I ordered a cable from the wrong place. Like many others, I didn't know about the other source. If my first order shows up, and if I'm not here to refuse delivery... I will certainly be listing it for sale here. That's the problem with ordering where they don't reply to your emails etc.

 

i order my Sensolutions monoUSB connector yesterday day and i got it today! wow that was sweet! i cant believe i order from sascha! now i gotta deal with the no answer to emails to get my money back if at all possible!

i paid paypal so i can file a despute! maybe i can get my $ back that way...

i will upload my files to franz tonight after work! finaly! i cant wait!

I am in the same boat. I figured through Paypal there wold be some recourse. My cable (from Sensolutions) should be here tomorrow. Yeah!

You should only get one file. It will have a MTH extension.

Edit: I think I read that wrong. You should have two files, and one returned to you from Franz with a MTH extension. So send em both.

You are doing it right! You have 2 files, and only one is your "stock" file, if you want to flash it back to stock... It is 60kb and has .org extension.

Send those 2 files to Franz now!!

 

The ".mim" file is a text file containing your MINI's VIN and other specs. WinZIP thinks it's a ZIP file because of the extension, but it isn't. Franz shouldn't need to send that back to you, but you do need to send that and the ".org" file to him originally.

 

the problem is.... i only got one file
i connected, got the ID, then i downloaded, the i hit save and just for one file.

sorry guys but im really confused... i didnt get but one file...which i sent to Franz.

by the way the upload site is much nicer now... and easy to use!
it askes you for your name, email, and modifications list... and it has place for 2 files... i did all that and uploaded the one file i have...

i guess ill have to wait and see...

It saves two files - a .mim and .org. - they are both there, look again. You will only get one file back, a .mtm

 

You may need to go to Folder Options, the View tab, and make sure to not hide extensions for known file types. Then sort by name, and both of them should be next to each other.

 

I have been unable to find a list of what mods the MTH flash makes. Do they change the red-line?

 

righ now im at work and i left the labtop at home... so i cant look again untill i get home.

but i saved to the desktop where i only have 4 things, my computer, my documents, my network place, and recycle bin....
and when i saved i had 5...
i also have the labtop set up where i can see hiden files.

do you think i should try again?
