I ordered Sat night from Sensolutions, it arrived today!

 

I ordered a Serial cable from them and it took almost a month to arrive to me in Maryland. I believe part of it is because it comes accross the pond via a swimmer with a box on his back.

I believe I emailed them and they told me it had been. Mine was shipped by German post so the tracking # was pointless.

 

I ordered mine from sensolutions and they are the only way to go, I received it next day air which is the only way they ship and it still only cost $100. Nothing against sascha but I have heard so many nightmares about ordering from him/her and some as long as two months, why would anybody order from germany and wait anywhere from one week to two months when they can get it from sensolutions for the same price in one day?

 

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking. Doesn't make ANY sense to me.

 

ok so well i order from the wrong place... all i wanted to know is how long it would take... unlike you i didnt know about the 2 month horror stories....

now i just gotta wait...

Dont take what I said the wrong way, I was not ragging on you. I have seen people on here actually reccomend Sascha and I cant figure out why.

 

I think mine came from germany in less than a week.

Finaly! i got the interface yesterday afternoon!!! it was a little late to do anything... plus in miami saturday is party and sunday is rest day...

so tomorrow morning! i will get up and connecto the labtop and sent the files to franz!

I was very excited to receive mine as well. This stupid unknown wait for the files to come back has killed my thrill of this purchase. Very unprofessional.

 

I felt the same way but you need to understand that he is a one man operation that gives you unlimited updates for about $75 so you can complain too much about that, When I complained I got drilled by everybody because I did not understand his situation so give him a couple of days and if still nothing try resending them.

 

It's been 5 and I did resubmit. He needs to have a better way of doing this. At the very least he should have his schedule on the site so people know what to expect. This unknown waiting game for a product he's selling as a business is the wrong way to do it, pure and simple. Even better would be a selection of various files to download once you pay - then you could simply plug in your selection as you choose.

 

I agree on some of your points and this has been a hot topic of discussion. That is why here on NAM and on MINI2 large threads have been left to the members to support MTH isssues. Franz of MTH is not the best when it comes to customer service.

 

i been trying to connecto to my mini all morning! and im getting 2 errors one after the other....

im using the USB interface....
please help im about to get the hamer!

here are pics in order of the errors...

 

Under port, select com5 unless you have changed it in control panel manually. Make sure the ignition is on when you try to connect.

 

i have ports 1, 2, 4 & 5... open and i have tried all 4 restarting the compuer each time... and i ge the same messages...


now the ignision, i got all the way like if im going to start the car... ofcourse without the clucth so it wont start then i let it go back to the on possition...

i also just got my freinds labtop and im getting the same error...

i think i got a bad cable what do u guys think?

and to make it worst i have to go to work so i wont be able to try again today... however i can read and post in this forum from work so ill be here to read any input u guys can give me....

 

also... the red obd connector does not lock into place... it looks like a clip or something broke off....

aaah im a little pisst off right now!

Do you have the Sensolutions monoUSB connector? Mine has no 'red' anything, nor is there any clip - it pushes onto the car port and that's it.


Did you install the driver for the cable?

 

My connector is the same way - it doesn't clip into place - but it's worked on several MINIs regardless.
