Has anyone downloaded there ecu info with other software already installed and sent to Franz? I have dinan s3 on my car and when I downloaded to send to franz I only had 1 large file(already checked for hidden files, none) I've been told by others I should have 2 files.

Thanks Mike

ECU flash over the stock. Not a piggy back chip, is what Mini told me.

why are you having the Dinan software retooled? Wasn't it pricy and keeps ur MCS under warranty?

Thats what I want to know? I drove an 02 S which did just have the dinan S5 package installed I was impressed it had GRUNT and speed. The owner also has a 05 JCW and feels the 02 is quicker, have to drive his 05 to see for myself. My car is similar in mods to the dinan S5. I will do the dinan if franz can't make it work.

I'm sure Franz will be able to make you a nice ECU map for your mods

I asked the same thing months ago without a response. If anyone tried it, they didn't spill the beans.

Resend it. I've had to do that before.

Of course, I generally get both back within a few hours of each other...

Most of the fuss surrounds the fact that people can't believe that for $75 you can the same performance that many pays 10x for. Oh and there is the part that Franz maximizes your engine based on 'theory' and not dyno results like most other ecu tuning. But for the price its the best $1 to hp ratio out there.

Very true!

MTH is the best ECU remap you can get for the price. It has lifetime upgrades, possibility to switch from stock to MTH and otherwise, as often as you want (Franz bypasses the 15 uploads counter)

Many of you are a bit afraid to bring your MINI with MTH loaded in the ECU... I've had MTH for a long time, and went to 3 different dealers with it. (Montreal, Brossard and Fort Lauderdale) All 3 dealers never saw MTH. Once, I had a check engine light for a thermostat error, and I had to go 3 times in a row to the dealer (Fort Lauderdale, a very good dealer btw!) and they NEVER noticed an ECU change...

Trust me, I've been to the dealers many many times while my MCS was still on warranty, and they never either erase or notice MTH.

Also, if you want the most power for the $$$ for your MCS, make sure to match MTH with a smaller pulley... This is a killer combo lol

As you'll find out when you read through...it's not a chip, simply a small software package you download/receive via email ($77 lifetime subscription to updates) and flash your car with, using a $100 cable.

Actually, Franz will redo your MTH if you send him a Dyno chart w/ an A/F ratio. Also, his 'theory' is based on real world tuners (I beleive M7, and another place in Germany), so its not all smoke and mirrors.

Sensolutions sells the best cable for MTH, it costs the same (or less) than sasha's cable, works, and arrived next day air.

The other company in German is Hartge. With v5, Franz has retarded timing, so I'm getting less burble from the Milltek exhaust, but more torque as registered from the butt dyno. I need to dyno again, after I get a chance to change the oil and filter.
