I like it so much better . Will have my post lift ecu in a couple weeks . So it will have the correct software for my oil gauges to work.
Im wondering where the chrono pack gets the data for oil pressure w/o adding a sending unit ?
I have an updated ECU as well...Original one died....new updated one looks like it was made by Apple, old one looked like it came out of a 70yr old Sherman Tank....
Installed a Cravenspeed shift well cover on my R53. old boot had been cracked and the ring hadn't seated right since I got the car, this was a long time coming... and now my shifter seems tall.
About to leave for work and noticed a low left rear tire.
No low tire light on yesterday coming home but flat tire light on now and only 10 psi.
Inspection revealed a nail at the top of the sidewall just past the tread on the inside (Michelin PSS4 - 215/45/r17). I plug a lot of tires myself, but can't plug one there.
Put on a winter wheel/tire and ordered two more tires from Tire Rack as the PSS4 tires are down to about 6.5/32 after two full spring/summer/autumns on the MINI
They should arrive tomorrow - one mounted to an Enkei PF01 wheel with sensor like the other 3, and one unmounted to replace the flat one and will use the right rear wheel/tire as a spare.
Will have to take hard right turns easy in the mean time or the rear will drift out due to the winter tire there and the 25.5mm hollow rear bar.

looks dope ! Get a short shifter. Fits in nicely with that set up
She felt like a pig, bet she will feel much better now that she shed some weight and got vacuumed for the last hour. She needs a bath, so much rain here though
I coded my R50 for rear fog. Switch bank comming in today. Got it for a steal. 6 switch for 30 bucks shipped. I working up a harness conversion to remove single backup light to tail lights an fog on bottom. Wish they still made the conversion kit.

Replaced the Gas pedal assembly....As you prob already know its a "drive by wire" system....I wasn't receiving any codes about the pedal, but purchased a new one years ago here in the marketplace...my MINI has 244K miles on the odometer....I thought "maybe" some day I would need it. Been in storage ever since.
I found it in the attic looking for other MINI stuff to sell. So I figured what the hell, got all the covid-19 time so installed it. Was a bit of a PITA because the original assembly was modified with an attached micro-switch for the CRYO2 system and is triggered when pedal is fully pressed for WOT runs. So it had to be properly aligned and work in comensurate with pedal pressure purfectly.
Anyhow, after little dremeling off some plastic the microswitch attached to new assembly perfectly..
So took it out for a ride today.....WOW ! Accelleration is definately more precise with crisper throttle response....back to chirping 2nd and 3rd gear...also noticed more pops and snaps in the exhaust note like it used to.....I'll take the old one apart and see what it looks like inside.....

I got one of the last kits from ECS Tuning....You can def make your own harness. It all wired up to pass side / rear....Removed the RR tail light and the lower boot trim in the back to access and run wires. There should be PDF file somewhere for the kit....it was helpful in describing the wire colors, if you can supply the part number to a MINI parts advisor they can go into DCSNET and locate the install instructions the techs would use....
The bushings in my BSH lower motor mount are about due to be changed. I ordered a replacement pair, did some measuring and printed a mold. I used 80A polyurethane from suspension.com, let it cure for seven days and we’ll see how it goes tomorrow. The 80A feels stiffer than the new BSH bush.
The photo makes them look like they are different sizes, but in reality they match 100%

Well I got the switch pack installed. Took about 15 minutes. An wjla rear fog lights. An my DRL lights are working. Coded my fog lights to stay on when high beams are on aswell .
So I changed of my drivers door regulator today. Went quick an easy. Now no more clucking as the window closes. Not to mention not having to bang the door at times to get the motor moving.🙄
Ordered a BimmerGeeks Pro K+DCAN cable today. Looking forward to changing some coding and programing the replacement keyless fob to the car once it arrives.
Today: Reinstalled rear plastics after a thorough cleaning and demousing. Removed an old boost gauge and senders I used to have in a center gauge console way back int he day.
Yesterday: Installed new driver's side window regulator and fixed the awful job Safelite did years ago when they replaced a shattered passenger side window. Damn was it a mess. Two perfectly working windows now - *super* excited!
Well had a little fun today. Go to make a turn an all my lights pop on an car wants to stall. Had battery tested an sure enough it was on its last leg.
