That happens to the best of us. NOT that this is happening to you, but I went through something like this back in 2016-17 with that light coming on. I thought I was fat fingering something... But I noticed when it came on, hitting the switch again would not turn it off. So as long as the light goes out/off you are golden. My light would stay on and would only be turned off by shutting the car off. Irritated, I checked for any codes and 1 popped up. It related to the camshaft position sensor. Easy fix and has been fine since. Just throwing this out there in case anyone else encounters the light that will not go off until you shut things down.

Do you have the owner’s manual for the car? These display warnings are all listed in the back. But, I will say that MINI could have done a better job with explaining some of those, but it is worth a look.

Good point. I didn't get an owner's manual with my car. I downloaded it and printed it out. Foolishly, I put it in a file cabinet at home. I will store it in the emergency box in the trunk (fix-a-flat, pump and so on).

New valve cover, and I opted to Duplicolor metal cast it. I think the old cover's PCV was acting up.

Replaced Supercharger!!

It was a "fun" day. supercharger water pump gears finally let go on the way to work. Managed to nurse it home (5 mi or so, letting it cool, add water drive coast as far as possible, rinse and repeat)
Good thing I had the replacement SC and water pump. (SC was growling for a week) That is a time consuming task, but is so worth it!!

Figured out the no start condition. Had spark, had tach signal, so next went to fuel. Popped out the back seat and...

Used this to thump the fuel pump while cranking and it came back to life.

Changed over from "lug bolts" to studs and lug nuts. NM parts, of excellent quality as usual. Installed new mounting brackets on my CF wing and reinstalled it. Things didn't go as well with the lights I was installing. Tried to install black LED side marker scuttles, but the adaptors that I was told to order from Amazon were the wrong parts and would not plug in to the wiring connector from the chassis. Put the JCW light back and now it doesn't work and I have fast flash on left turn signal like the bulb is out. Back to the drawing board on that. Attempted installing my new Helix UJ tail lights. No joy there either. Narrowed it down to a bad adaptor harness. Have to wait until Monday to contact the dealer about that.

New Studs (haven't scrubbed the rust off from sitting idle outside for the last month or so)

New Wing Brackets. (car's dirty, it's been raining the last few days)

Yup. Left a little room to play with spacers if I ever get the urge.

WeIl I tried to have an alignment done today. No go, rod end seized up. They quoted $846.00 to repair an align car.
I said that's ok. Order new parts an tools I need for less the 200 to my door.

Went for a drive earlier to get some readings on my new ScanGauge, chiefly I wanted to see my Intake Air, Coolant, and Boost Pressure readings, and got some good data from it. Now, seeing as the readings are coming from the ODB port, there could be some errors (my Horsepower reading went up to 193 at WOT near redline, so I'll need to adjust that for sure), but the ambient temps were around 68-69 Degrees F, and had the following:

Coolant temps: ~180-190F when cruising (fyi that low-speed for my radiator fan does not work)
Intake Air Temp: 75F @75mph in cruise control (went up over 90 under some load around 4-4.5k rpms or so)
Boost: Indicated 12.4PSI near redline

I haven't gone through my 2nd fill-up calibration yet, so perhaps that can cause some inaccurate readings, but given the sort of readings I was getting, I would wager that Egan is running as normal as can be.
