If I get to the point that I just have to have it, I'll write then about possible options. The net is the main thing I like about it.Keeps things from rolling up and getting lost behind the front seats.

I should do something similar for my dog!
He hasn't even ridden in my MINI yet since my wife's car is normally the one that we use to move pets around.

I'm sure you could rig some sort of net at the main hoop of the rollbar. Scrounge the junkyard for a factory cargo net about the right size then something as simple as ziptie it to the bar.

Got word from the dealer that yup, it's the turbocharger in decline at 127k for my 2010S with the JCW engine kit. This concludes my summer of cracked strut, HPFP, alternator, thermostat everything, 120k general refresh (exhaust leaks, bushings, injector cleaning, etc). So for a car that I adore but has been hella unreliable and now very expensive... it's time I have "the talk".

Sounds great. The way a Cooper should sound. Spring for the Milltek manifold if you can as well. They work really well together. I often forget how my R53 sounded with the stock exhaust and always glad I ditched it. I think I changed mine our back in Jan2005 at 1,200 miles on the odometer. lol If I am caught at a light, I always get asked questions about the setup as the individual apparently likes the sound as well.

Well done.

That's what threw me the biggest curve ball. If you ever need to borrow a tool, give me a shout, you're welcome to after the bypass valve hookup.
Mine put a couple nicks in the timing cover but nothing too bad. Belt tool was one of the first things I ever bought, along with a jack pad for my floor jack!

I replaced the failed factory damper with a 2% ATI damper and reset the ECU. I didn't notice how poorly the car was running as a result of that failing damper but man what a world of difference.

Right? So true. Its not that you really gained anything, as much as replacing what you have gradually lost along the way. The factory damper IMHO is garbage. 45-46k miles on mine (times 2) and done. What a joke.

I did the 2% damper because why not, but the real difference is just how well the car is running now. I've spent so much money replacing inadequately designed factory components on this car it is ridiculous.

Finally decided on a accent color for my MINI. She got striped and capped. The shop posted pics on Instagram but they haven't called me yet to pick her up, uugghh.

Got an inspection done for my first track day next week. Everything came up green, but I'm still having the brake fluid swapped for a high temp brake fluid next week.

Back on the rack again today. Everything was skewed to one side. Could have left it go, but the wife is happier with the wheel pointing straight. Camber is still out, even with a slight shift of the entire subframe. The car drives straight and tracks well, though.

Good plan - get some high temp brake pads installed in front while you're at it. Then post and let us know how much fun you had!

Sad to say, but we are Winter Ready!

Late October in Greater Toronto Area means winter is just around the corner... picked up Blizzaks and winter rims, with a cool aggressive offset. Plasti Dipped rocker panels black for the winter and also dipped the Countryman logo on trunk. I like this look... even if I don’t like winter itself. Will peel back rocker panels in the spring to match factory alloys... new front wiper blades installed and gave Mini a good cleaning today. jet sealed the whole car for extra repellency of water... ice... salt.... Is it too early to say ‘can’t wait for Spring’??

Winters on with Replika 231 rims, plasti dipped rockers and freshly washed!

Decided to blackout the lettering for winter too

Replika 231 rims (downsized rubber and rims for winter) and went with ef25 offset

Side view... definitely a more aggressive stance. Handles great, now just bring on the snow and ice!

Had my first HPDE track day today. Holy mother of $deity that was awesome! Passing[1] Porsche's and M3's left and right! Currently in my shopping cart: JCW PRO brake kit.

[1] To be fair, we were all in the "zero experience" beginner's group, lol! And my instructor might have been driving for one or 2 of those passes

Is that your Mini in the video? My tips are rubbing on the rear cover; any "tips" on fixing this?
