Thank you. I had to make the larger tubes, because the head unit protrudes out about half an inch now (I also moved the controls/switches out to line up as well).

Thank you. I had to make the larger tubes, because the head unit protrudes out about half an inch (so I pulled the heater and switches out to line up as well), so to give a somewhat "factory" look, I made new ones.

Took a decal from our local mini club, took some scrap 3M Di-Noc vinyl, and a license plate from work and made me a new front plate. NC doesn't require front plates, and my car came from Virginia, so figure I'd make a plate with my style . Will post a pic later in my build thread.

A few years ago I made a pirate fish front plate for my MINI and my wife's car as well.
Don't need no stinkin' front plates in PA, either.

Put 4 new tires on Winnie today! So excited. I replaced my stock Goodyear RunFlats with a set of very nice Toyo Tires. The ride is smooth and quiet as well as such an improvement on the previous tires. I kept 3 of my four runflats though, stored them in my garage (They forked my fourth trying to get the tire off the rim, but I am not too worried about that.) Just happy to have the tires replaced! I got the Toyo Versado Ecos in 195/55R16 and am very happy so far. They grip the road like crazy, don't spin when taking off, no matter how hard I punch it and are amazingly quiet.

Today was a good day!

I built and installed a really quick and simple flat floor. Took me about 2 hours with a net cost of $0, bonus for having a messy shop is lots of scrap wood. Over the next couple weeks I'm going to build a new good looking top but until I have the time and money I made this to hold my tools.

If anyone has tips or tricks they would like to give me on seat deletes or flat floors please share.

Indi got some freckles tonight

Thanks to my husband, these went on with ease. He then showed me how to touch up some areas on the body with some paint I ordered last week.

LOVE MY BUBBLE STRIPES!!

Finally got around to installing the Cravenspeed oil dipstick, NM torque arm bushing insert, Helix short shift adapter and NM shifter box cover. Also picked up a set of 2012 London Olympic scuttles!

Clicked over 10,000 miles since delivery 3/28/12.

Averaging 35.4 mpg over 22 fill ups.

No issues so far.

And it's a blast to MOTOR!

Megan/Helix super short shifter.

Hi. I took a megan short shifter which is a shifter that shortens the throw by shortening the shifter arm and added a Helix shifter adapter to the bottom . This gave me a super short distance between gears and it shifts fast and tight. What I have accomplished is making the shift distance double short, I was worried the shifter would be too hard to shift with the short top and longer bottom ,but it works great. Just thought I would share this.

2005 Chili pepper red MCS,15% pulley,JCW380injectors,Craven CAI,MSD coil pack,colder plugs,Detroit tuned BPV,Autologic ECU tune,Alta cat back exhaust,Gp intercooler with DDM diverter,K-sport coil overs,Hsport comp. rear sway bar,M-7 strut brace,Megan/helix short shifter, 217whp 15lbs boost.

Mods

Received NM High Flow Induction Kit (code for CAI) and installed it. Love the sound! Feels quicker on response, too. Also got Alta 22mm RSB, but won't be able to install that for a little while with back to school happening. Finally, grabbed some plasti-dip and tested it out on the headlight rings. Lovin' that look. Will be hitting the rest of the chrome soon.

Might check out Enco (www.use-enco.com) for some linear motion rails to make the whole floor, or a portion of it, slide right out the back for easier access. I did something similar for the bed of my truck...

installed my VT mount yesterday and sadly was unable to get my tensioner to move without the proper tensioner tool so I had to give up on the SC pulley install...

Drove 120 miles to the nearest MINI dealer today who inexplicably had a tensioner tool in stock and installed my WMW 15% pulley and NGK platinum plugs and I have to say...I had an idea in my head of what this mod would do based on what I've read...the testimonials do no justice. i cannot believe how big of a difference a pulley made. I just need to find a way to get grip in 1st at WOT now...swapping engine oil to royal purple full synthetic tomorrrow....

NNNnnnnOOOOooooooooo.......

Royal Purple oil is horrible in anything but the bottle it comes in! Ive had 3 rod/main bearing failures in three seperate cars... ALL using that purple crap! And I change my oil every 2500-3000 miles. Never again!

Go to AmsOil signature, or Mobil 1, Your engine will thank you.

My remaining bottles of RP got diluted out with some solvents, and turned into gun cleaning lubricants... It actualy isnt to bad at that. Hey I had to get rid of it somehow, and now I have 5 gallons worth of gun cleaner.

That's interesting... This is the first time I've heard anything bad about RP...except regarding the price. I found it on sale for $20/gal at my local meijer so I decided to pick some up. And I do oil changes every 3k as well...

Guess I'll look into this before changing the oil...but I'm coming up on the 3k mark right now...

He cut out vents on top of the hood. It took me awhile to figure out as well. It looks like reflection from the lights but it is just the angle and bad resolution from camera.
