Thank you! I'm going to have the JCW exhaust installed in place of the PowerTone in the morning. I'll let you know how it sounds.

Drove 200 miles in pouring rain. Happy with these Michelin MXM4's, cut right through any standing water like a pizza cutter at 70mph.

My second engine mount has popped. Looks like they last somewhere between 5 and 6 years on my car.

Beautiful cars
Would love to know all the details of your mods for the R52.
Thinking of getting one (R53) for myself as the wife has an R57 already.
Waffling between that and a Miata NA. Thinking that a FWD and RWD would be a nicer.

Does your R52 have an engine stabilizer, or anything else that might have helped your OEM mount last so long? Also, do you drive it hard? Just wondering if some of the mounts last so long because don't have as much stress put on them.

Stock bushing ( changed all a while back) , on the engine and lower mount, transmission, surprising my 2nd engine mount has not leaked since it was changed at 100K.

Yes, I track it, couple times a year. Auto cross. I want to change out to Powerflex and super pro engine supplement here soon.

Nice list.

I love the Milltek header. I remember being QUITE annoyed that mine broke in the middle, but since replacing it with the Milltek unit, never looked back.

Love the sound that is produced with the matching set.

Yes thanks

The Milltek header needs to pair with my JCW sport exhaust for a best set up.

Ordered a fan resistor and bridged the low speed fan wire to the high speed wire until it gets here. Currently the car is sitting on my CTEK charger for a bit of battery love!

Thanks,

As keeping 3 MINIs in tip top shape , well two right now. You can say I have worked on them a bit with higher miles.

Trying to catch up to an older gentleman in the MINI clubs up north in Wisconsin who has over 400K now last time I heard. Silk Green R50 2002 model.

Belated Monday post:

I took my mini for a 45 minute ride. Not drive, ride.
Piggyback on a flat bed truck to the tune of $210
Stalled on way home Saturday, Sunday start up gave me flashing CEL (do not drive, go directly to dealer, give away $210.....)
And all this after $17,000+ in repairs, they are trying to tell me the spark plug their mechanic bolted in my brand new cylinder head 21 days ago failing, and subsequently BREAKING OFF IN MY MOTOR is my responsibility, and not their service departments 2 year warranty on repairs.

I've spoken to Mini US corporate, and best they could do is give the dealer a useless demerit that amounts to
"£U(< you Mini owner"

I'm done.

Dealer is
BMW/Mini of Sterling
The same guy owns multiple other dealerships, including Harley dealerships in MD

Avoid service there at any cost

Cheap tablet mount

As some of you might have read in the past, I cannot stomach the radio. So I just added some brackets to a cheap tablet case and ran a long bolt from an older motorcycle tank through the cup holder mount. I just simply took it off and drill through the mount to keep it as oem looking as possible

Now that would be a cool thing to do, good luck! I wonder what the most miles on a r53 S is? I am trying to get 300k but you never know
