it's a 79 so shooting one stage acrylic enamel (no clear top coat) ..... HVLP "detail" gun . . . 40 PSI at the gun .... shot 3 coats ,,,,, two to cover and a final 'wet'
Rear fogs installed from a JCW (still waiting on the connection kits), blacked out the belt line, put in Nokya Hyper Yellow fog lights, and did the rear wiper delete. A productive day.
Speaking of new coolant tanks, I just picked up Barnaby this afternoon. After me supplying around 400 in parts and paying 700 in labor he is all set. New coolant system all around, supercharger oil changed, and Detroit Tuned BPV installed. Driving better then ever.
Where did you get your supercharger oil changed? Mine has 94,000 miles and I'm starting to get a bit paranoid.

I had my supercharger taken off already for a whole coolant system flush already so I went onto ECS and got 2 3oz bottles of the GM oil. One side had almost none and both sides were VERY black. I am glad I did it and I am sure the supercharger is too

Thanks for the order. Glad you took car of the oil. Did the gears look ok?
Based on your location you may be the person to talk to. Did you have a chance to drive your Mini without the intake. Did you notice a difference in performance post install?

He is running well and flying along nicely! Love the cooler weather.
Oh my Xenu, it finally arrived. Came straight home and installed an aux port that I ordered over one week ago. I think 3wks of radio gave me the dumbs. There's only so much pop culture one can handle...

Without the intake? I assume in the stock setup? As in through the small hole separating the bay from the windscreen cowl? And into the stock airbox that is restrictive and through the paper filter?
I did. I removed the plastic wall/partition separating the bay from the windscreen cowl. I had intentions of making the small hole much larger but wanted to find a replacement panel first. So I would have the altered panel (enlarged hole) and stock to fall back on if ever I return it.
So I removing the stock airbox which does not look all that appealing and added the rogue intake with cone filter.
From my car notes, it appears that I bought the intake second hand off of eBay from a user in Florida on 12/01/2004. (yeah, while ago) Car had 1,210 miles on him. (108.6k now)
Never looked back. The obvious change is the whine sound from the blower. That is pretty neat. Power increase was noticeable for me. Car pulled more and response was better. I believe anything we can do to feed the supercharger more air will be a benefit. The way the Rogue intake is designed, I am hoping that the majority of the air is coming from the windscreen cowl and not the bay. Its not like the car is normally aspirated, which can sometimes cause an issue.
Depending on your area, summer time will not be as beneficial due to the higher temps. I’ve never had pinging in the summer during WOT (running JCW plugs) but power was not AS noticeable as it is in the winter. During the winter, you can feel the car pull more and it is a bit more spunky.
We just had a rain storm come through Phoenix and even with the road dry (day after), it is difficult to grab in 1st gear, 2nd can be interesting and even 3rd to some degree. (Front tires have 5/32” of tread)
Went for a fall drive with my girlfriend and Barnaby. All is well for once with the car. Had my girlfriend snap a few photos as the sun set. Not too bad, just wish I had my black rims on. All is well!!

not what I meant at all but I didn't know there was a vent in that location. Off to the garage to learn something new
I was just referring to the Rogue intake.
I think that's where most of my time will be spent as soon as my warranty runs out. Work on allowing the engine to breathe more efficiently and heat dissipation\temperature mgmt.
See where we go after that.
Maybe a tune.
Thanks for the info
