Moved Aux-In port to vented access panel behind toggle switches, from the original less than ideal location of inside the glovebox.

Used tutorial here (about half-way down the page), which is very well done. After removing faceplate, pulled the cable from glovebox and fished it down center array to the access panel, which I had pre-drilled.

Took about a half-hour.

More "de-chrome" work. Also had my 17" XXR 530 wheels mounted. H&R springs with Koni Yellows. The +35 offset works wonderfully. Not a rub out of them at all.

Dave.

I picked it up from the dealership and drove it for the first time, sending the odometer skyrocketing from 5 to 31.

Technically it was last night, but.....
after 43 days and $7600 in warranty repairs (God bless Maxcare) and actually got to drive it! After 3 different Mini loaners ( one I totaled and the other I got T boned in) and a rental Camry, it took me about 15 minutes to relearn the controls and wipers.
It runs like a fresh motor (except bottom end it essentially is) and feels stronger than ever. I just pray I have it back longer than 2 weeks, which is the longest it has been in my possession for the past 6 months. Wish me luck kids!!!

Installed the OEM Aux-In audio harness in my R53 yesterday, pleasantly surprised how easy and simple it was. So nice to have my own music again, radio stations around here suck.
