Speaking of new coolant tanks, I just picked up Barnaby this afternoon. After me supplying around 400 in parts and paying 700 in labor he is all set. New coolant system all around, supercharger oil changed, and Detroit Tuned BPV installed. Driving better then ever.

Why didn't you go with aluminum one, if you don't mind me asking?

that's more than likely your lines, just plain soft resulting in a crappy pedal feel. I'd go with stainless lines from ecs, makes a HUGE difference, I have brembo pads from bavauto, WMW also has them, they are excellent and very well priced.

Ordered some XXR 527's and 215/45/17 Michelin Primacy MXM4's. Stressing over this purchase for a while now.

Well all done but that brake sensor was a b!t@h. Crawled under took two panels off and could see the plug but had a rough time fishing it out because it was in such a confined space.
Still it was worth saving the $375 (conservative estimate) to get it done
This weeks project: Coolant flush
Does not appear the previous owner ever did it. YIKES!

Decided to go with PowerStop brakes, just the standard ones as I could not find any reviews on slotted drilled rotors being significantly better for the rears. I may go with the Willwoods on the front though. Was a pretty uneventful process although the incorrect sensor was shipped. So we're driving around with the error code on the dash. That sucked a little. New part is on the way I imagine it's not going to be to much effort. Probably crawl under with a couple zapstraps and change the connection.
Anyone had issues with plugging in the sensor? Anything I need to know about it?

I ran into a "ditch" in the middle of the road going up Mt. St. Helens. It was one of those hits when you know everything is not gonna be alright. "Abe" brakes and still steers straight. But popped the bonnet and shock towers are mushroomed a little... Have to check the shocks themselves. . Time for reinforcement plates or brace.. Any preferences? ?

Some misc OEM parts came this week came yesterday and a replacement stock header from another forum user. The car lost a bit of growl going back to the stock header. The Scorpion header is for sale in the classifieds.

I believe he's trying to hide his personal info by blocking the license plate.

I've never been sure why since license plates are exposed to thousands of people on a given day

Yeah but, im not so snooty to assume the thousands of people think my car is cool enough to look at it much less stair at the license plate haha. The way i see it is, i wouldn't put my social security number or phone number on a post, why wpuld i put my plate? Even the email i use for this site is strictly a spam account. Sure a plate isnt as important as a ssn but... ive had some screwed up things happen to me in the past thanks to the Internet so... i play it safe.. make fun of me all u want.

NOT calling you guys snooty by the way... you guys are all cool

No doubt!!!

You need to hitch a gang mower to one of those tow hooks and take a few laps around the yard.

I'd say it's time to get out the belt.

I'm currently in the process of revisiting my oil leak issue. I changed out two bolts with built in seals on the timing cover. I don't have high hopes that this will fix the issue. If there's spots on the ground in the morning the oil pan is getting torn off for closer inspection.

I'm torn between putting the MTC aftermarket pan on this car or buying the genuine MINI one for close to three times the price.

I don't want to sell this car with an oil leak, but I might have to.

Nice feet buy all the parts yourself and take it to the dealer, then your covered under warranty if it continues to leak. I never go to dealers unless i have to but if your having issues it may be best.

The dealer is five hours away. .

I'm pretty much going to keep the car till late winter / early spring now anyways. I did order new Conti DWS from Tire Rack today.
