Electrical Countryman-Specific Coding - R60 Guide
Again, I understand your point here, but I am giving you a definitive answer regarding the question you have raised.
Next, I appreciate the fact that we have international members here - in fact, I've helped many users in Europe and Asia. However, as I've said, we're focusing on the US models in this coding thread.
I, and many others, have spent countless hours making this as simple and comprehensive as possible for the wide audience that bought the R60.
Your last post states "Yes, but my discovery is a big one and it should be public." To this, I must reply that this is a public forum and users are free to voice information and opinions.
I have replied to your Alarm programming several times. If it satisfies you, I will add the information to the first post, though it may confuse some users down the road who will have to read through 300 posts before realizing why it's specific to the Alarm Package.

Panic alarm information along with the welcome lighting info was added to the front page.
It's a neat find for those with the Alarm Package for sure. The problem with coding is that 90% of the cool features require either a region lock or a feature implementation.
We've had questions regarding turning on features that weren't installed on the car to begin with, etc. and it's difficult to sift through everything. International coding stirs the pot even more with getting everything tested.
I added a disclaimer to the sunroof closing option since you've reported that it didn't work on your car. It would be great to nail down the differences in region coding, but it's just too extensive to get into for the most part. The front-page items are fairly extensive, and I believe that 95+% of the options are universal.
On the path of adding light to your Xenons, I would whole-heartedly recommend upgrading the bulbs if you have Morimoto or Philips Ultinon (or 55w Philips) available in your country. They make a huge difference, no matter the generation!

You might have different regulations over there - not too sure on the construction of the UK/EU models. I wouldn't be too surprised to find out the shutter goes lower on your Xenons.
Here's a tip - adjust the height / level on your headlights (within reason). Just a bit helps immensely. Though, as you can see, I not only upgraded the bulbs, but also added 2 85w aux lights for extra power.

Just wondering...did you activate the rain-sensing wiper button BEFORE you tested this change? I have NOT tested this, but it is logical that that the rain sensor may not communicate with the rest of the car (SHD module) unless it is actually turned on.
I'll check tomorrow...
Yes, sure I had activated the rain sensor. I got wet and nothing moved my sunroof a inch... I have tried also with just tilt open and full open. Rain sensor activate wipers but it does not close the sunroof. Maybe there must be some other settings to be changed...
I have bought these bulbs, I hope they are ok:

Has anyone coded VIM on a Recently produced MINI, specifically a R60 that has been produced in the last month or so? I am not finding a cic module, just a cicm and cmedia something or other. The disable handbrake was in the media module.
It should be the same process as with the BMW's and the CIC module. You would first have to modify the nettodat trace files and then code the [cmedia] module, if that is the correct name. Can you post your printout from that module?

Admittedly I may have done something wrong because the nettodat file doesn't look anything like the ones previously posted.

After you code the file and write it back in you will change the handbrake value:
VIDEO_NUR_MIT_HANDBREMSE to nicht_aktiv and there should also be speedlock values as well in that file. Do you see any? I may be busy for most of the day tomorrow, but if you're free later in the day I should be able to walk you through it.
I meant to say you are going to edit your daten file, not your nettodat file but it will be good to take a look at the before and after just to see which values end up getting changed.

That was actually my backup trace. I'll rerun it in the morning and check any differences now that I think I understand what is going on. There are speedlocks should be set to aktiv to compare the files?

But that is the last step, you have to first modify the respective daten file using either NCS Dummy or data2txt
Not yet. After hours of sitting in a hot car in 100+ temps, I decided this can wait until the fall. I wanted it to use the gps of my iPhone through the center display before MITM.

If you're at MITM, I'll be there on Saturday and perhaps can take a look.
threar is right, I have not known DVD in motion to work like that. You'll just be able to watch DVD's while you're driving (*passengers, of course*). It's a 5 minute process that I can walk you through.
DVD in motion won't quite work like that (unless there's a setting you know that I don't). All it will do is allow you to play videos while the cars moving (which is nice on long trips, even though people will yell at me about how unsafe that it is).

Interesting, seems I missed that post the first time. I'll bring my cable and laptop along with me and we'll see if we can get it working. (Unless I'm late) I'll be down at the car show with my All4.
This is starting to make a bit more sense, especially finding out that Motion X works. Motion X supports "video out" mode (specifically for external video displays like in-dash media centers). Normally to do this, you need the special component/composite cables from Apple, but it seems that the MINI connected cable works just like one. Therefore, seems that if you find an app that supports Video Out and it *should* play on screen (the native video player has supported this mode for a long time).
If this is true, then something like Netflix should also work in the same way.
Now, if I'm right (as this is still just a theory), that could also mean that if you were to install one of the many Video Out cydia apps (jailbreak apps) that would mean you could then seen your screen and most applications on the dash. Might be worth testing.
