Do you have any shots of the radiator for this product and how is it installed?

In order to clarify this again, I cannot quote the pm message exactly but you asked to keep you posted regarding some of our products.

The words "keep me posted" usually means to me as the product becomes available please inform me of the details.

If you want tuning then we will have to start a new thread about the subject and your exact questions regarding tuning. This is just for clarification...no pun intended

Fun stuff.

Sort of, but not really. Rings and pistons on #4 are most apt to blow/melt in response to higher temperature and/or boost. Also it's at the end of the fuel rail...might have something to do with it. I thought you guys would know of this, pushing the limits with your engineering and all.

Yes to an extent...the "pricing curve" for Mini mods seems that it would look something like a set of steps...jumps in levels with a plateau. Toward the end though the rise (price) of the steps get much greater, with the run (gain) of becoming minimal...eventually becoming a massive jump in price for minimal return. As I see it, this belongs more at the latter end of the set. Considering a head and tune by a reputable and known vendor () can get you in excess of 50hp for around $3k...I've already done the cost/benefit in my mind, and I can see this product (W2A) is not for me. Nothing against chasing the extra percentage of a percent though.

Not disagreeing at all with you Jiminni, just clarifying I suppose. "Expensive" is a relative proposition...using the above figures, 50hp for 3k is only around $60 a horsepower, putting it way below the per horsepower costs of most intakes, ignition setups, intercoolers, and the like. That may be a better way to judge things, beyond only absolute costs.

...one more thing...How much do you charge to install this charge cooler and what modifications, if any, are required to the stock configuration?

perhaps the logical answer is that they shared the same space but were separate companies. tough for any business if the roommate has a bad rep. :dunno:

All I know, and it may be just utter coincidence, but using the current contact information from RMS and Gintani from their websites gives two locations less than a block apart...right around the corner from each other in fact. Not much of a move if the roommate is still terrible.

I don't plan on turning into a hit-piece like Hornguys though, so I don't know what to make of it honestly.:impatient

well, a well respected local shop (a MINI vendor here even) just moved out from a shared space where things went sour with the other shop. It happens. Just want to be clear if these are separate companies, unrelated beyond sharing expensive SoCal real estate

Honestly I'd like to know myself. I'm only trying to research to the best of my abilities. I even tried whois'ing Gintani.com, but its registered through a private proxy company, with no address or contact information listed that I can cross reference. Beyond what I'd heard in that thread you pulled up (and some other things on the BMW boards), possible shared location, and current proximity...I have absolutely no firm ideas. All heresay. Trying to bring it up to get it addressed.

Just me doing my homework.
