yeah it's a bad sign when you go to Google plug something in and the whole 1st page of results are your answers to what you were looking for.

The most fun is when a newb revives an old thread with a follow-up question. And I post a reply. And then later realize I posted almost exactly the same reply to the same thread three posts earlier right before the thread died last time. And have no recollection of ever having done that.

An aging brain is a scary thing.

Ken, I only remember that post of yours because I've been intending to do what you did to solve my popping-open glove box, but have never gotten down to doin' it!

I see. I remember it being a quick fix.

I found out later after the fix how noisy the rattle was from the glovebox over uneven roads. it's definitely a good fix to try.

So another week went by in a flash. and it snowed yesterday, didn't accumulate but salt everywhere.

Think I'm going to motor my G tomorrow instead of my Z.

went motoring my G today. was a nice drive. saw quite a bit of salt on some roads so decided to hibernate my Z.

i lifted and placed on flatstoppers. pressured up to 41psi and turned the tires 180 degrees. car was kinda heavy to lift with my hands.

Little scared to ask how much it is though...

Going to motor my G today and fill er up again.

If you could use a Rhodes to trigger the V-Piano sounds... that would be EPIC. Because the action on the Rhodes is something else... or so I'm told.

I'm taking Clara to the touchless auto today. We had some snow last week and now she's filthy with salt

Both MINIs are clean now, but it looks like we are going to be getting a few days of freezing drizzle/snow/rain/road salt. So a trip to the coin-op later in the week will probably be in order.

from the looks of it, their top-end version can trigger other MIDI devices.
but wat i'd like to know is if the Rhodes can be triggered externally...
from my sequencer... i doubt you can cause the Rhodes have actual
hammers and tines.

the keybed on my V-Piano is the bestest ive felt from a digital piano so
i dont think i'd trigger from any other keybed.

ideally i'll play the Rhodes just by itself and use my G8 to trigger it into my
mac to sequence when im composing. if i can't i suppose i'll just use the
samples i have of it for now.

motored the G, gassed her up, SprayOn waxed, going to adjust tire pressure
tonight, and cover her up.

blimey-found the price for the Rhodes.... the lowest grade one with the 73keys is 682,500 Yen..which is like USD7.2K

http://www.rhodespiano.com/pdf/art-09-keymagjapan.pdf

so if i go with the lowest grade one in 88keys it'll probably run me 8~9K. if i buy one though, i dont need MIDI but want the EQ and tremlo... so probably looking at $10K.

see, my V-Piano is pretty cheap now at $6K.

i guess my 49cc wont happen anytime soon. i need to save up...

btw, the Fusion ZR1 (?) tires im using on my FitS sucks in snow. slush is okay though. very slippery in snow. still deciding if i need to buy snow tires or buy a new car.

I want a Clubman non-S!

It's snowing like a beeotch out there right now. This was my drive to work, two hours ago...it's still going and getting worse!

Getting snow tires this weekend on the 5-stars

So I drove home tonight in god-awful snow. I have to give major props to the folks at Eagle Alloys (the maker of my shiny summer wheels, which are coming off this weekend ), because these suckers are STRONG! I took a roundabout a hair too fast and skidded sideways, NAILING my passenger front on the curb.

Not a mark, scratch, or dent on it. I was sure I was going to have a flat. It made THE worst sound ever.

ML- dang... it looked like that first pict last night for me too. this am wasn't too bad. there's this one r/r crossing my car always has problem going up on when i have to stop in the middle of the ramp. i just slip sideways unless i do a 2nd gear take off while almost stalling to creep up. that's mainly the reason why i want to get snow tires...but yet undecided.

wow, the wheels survived quite an impact...so where did all that impact go? your suspension ok? might want the tire folks to check when you wrap your snows.

Yeah, everything looks and feels fine. I think I probably hit more snow than anything else.

Not good, I bet. I don't know how it is down there but we've got over a foot right now and it's still coming down hard! Having a fun day watching the neighbors drive into the ditch

Just wait until the backside winds fully kick in there. Most areas around here received about 14" but the town sits in a river valley and the 45 mph gusts seem to be nicely filling it in. I've got an eye-high drift right outside the east side walk-in door to my garage.

So do I brave the winds and try to clear snow before dark, or wait until tomorrow morning when the winds have slacked off a bit and the wind chill is -30F?

Local enclosed car washes are all shut (just keeping this on forum topic...)
