How involved is your winter storage process?

Top off the gas tanks (to prevent moisture) and trickle charge, and you won't have to do but 5min of work to get them going on a good day every few weeks

not involved at all. just make sure there is gas more than 3/4 of a tank,
place car on flatstoppers, battery manager. dust cover if i feel like it.

but for the G, i usually put the stock wheels back on which is a pita kinda
due to the weight and limited space i have. i like to use spacers on the factory wheels.

then take it out once or so during the holiday and gas it up to full.
this keeps the octane level pretty high.

gas doesn't seem to go bad that quick when you have more than 15
gallons in the tank. G and Z both have a 20gal tank.

Waz a buzy day today... Started off cleaning all the toilets at my house, driving to the in-laws to pickup my white FitS (nevermind how it got there ) and then swapping out the stock wheels to snows in the rain, washed the stock wheels in the rain, went to homedepot to get some stuff including a rail ceiling lamp in the rain, installed it and found that one of the bulbs were cracked ( too lazy to take it apart again to return it) went back to homedepot in the rain (guy was nice and gave me a new bulb ), and then finished the install...then made supper with the wife, ate, and now finally laying back on my sofa posting via my bb.

Wheew... Going to play some VPiano, watch a dvd, and call it a night.

Tomorrow is a basement cleanup day and sushi for dinner.

Dude... I need your energy level...

Happy Turkey Day

I'm gonna paint my new-to-me R55 MCS front calipers today - G2 paint kit arrived yesterday, picked up my custom brake lines yesterday, rotors have been turned, have many liters of SuperBlue and Type 200 on hand - just waiting on pads, which won't be here until Monday. So maybe Monday night Blimey will have better brakes, and the G2 paint will have LOTS of cure time between now and then.

Ken, do you have some special BB app for NAM? How come posting seems a breeze for you? Using my BB browser to post is a pain. Advice please!

Gonna be replacing a fog light on the MINI before stuffing myself with turkey.

Using Opera Mobile helps a little. I still hate it though - I agree, it's a pain to navigate on a mobile browser.

Already had the sausage pizza, and I think there might be the every tradional burger and fries impending. Everyone pretty much agreed to a low intensity relaxing time this year.

nice! any temporary picts of your caliper painting artistry?

it's good to let those paint dry COMPLETELY before handling. i usually let
enamel based paint dry atleast a week. unless it's a matte paint where it
dries considerably faster.

yes, i use Opera mini on my Bold (it's a free app you can download). also, i type on my bb about as fast as most people on their computers so that helps too.

i suppose being able to play piano somewhat helps with my typing skillz?

nice! i ended up NOT having sushi because them japanicans are too damn
lazy and did not work on gobble day. i was on my bb helping my customer who is in another country only 5min before supper.

so we ended up with my wife getting some roasted turkey dinner set from our local supermarket and eating that. actually, it tasted much better than i remembered...but the trick is i was STARVING. was cleaning out the basement for about 8hrs yesterday....starting out with breaking down boxes and moving things around, vacuuming, re-organizing, more vaccuming and re-organizing, etc. etc. was glad to see our trash/recycle guy took all that crappage this am.

yah, im taking it easy today. blackfriday means nothing to me other than over crowded stores and streets. no motoring planned for today since i dont want some crazy shopper crashing into me while texting and calling and eating in their cars.

going to measure out some more shelves and surface area to continue on my organization at home today. will motor my Z tomorrow.

Yay!

Yah, opera mini and googlemaps are a must have on these bb's.

So ended up going to HomeDepot afterall to get some new blinds and a kickarse deal on some shelves for the basement.

Roads and store weren't crowded at all...was like any other Sunday evening. oh wait, today's Friday. Which means I need to do laundry tomorrow.

But will motor first.
But then laundry.

We got flipped off even before we had parked!! Some Stupid Little Twitt thought the world revolved around her...WTF!!

The Malls were packed, but the Dinner Spot (Olive Garden) wasn't. It was almost 8PM, but on a Friday Night??!!

motoron-picts please.

RJ- yah, that's why i hate going shopping in those crowds. people are just plain rude and stupid especially this time of year. good to hear you had some piece and quiet for dinner though. (i hate crowded noisy restaurants).

blimey- does your Dewalt impact need special impact tools or can you use the standard adapter and sockets? HomeDepot had the milwaukee one and i realized the 18v battery is compatible with my drill and light...so i think im going to get the milwaukee one instead...but was wondering about the adapters and such if i have to get an entirely new set... ...

went motoring in my z this am and was a good drive. i encountered 2 extremes today... one a civilian mom in a minivan driving slow on the twisty expressway ramp and despite her slow speed, i could see her leaning WAAAAY right in her seat while making the right turn. i was like no lady, you need to go much faster then that and you also ruined my redline entry through the fun entrance ramp.

then the other a redneck hillbilly at a stop light flooring his pos dodge pickup truck next to me when the light turned green. the shitty hemi sounded like crap. i just watched in amazement that it didn't blow up on its own.

it looks like it's going to be nice tomorrow too, so going to motor my Z again.

I can completely empathize with that.

My impact driver accepts standard screwdriver-type bits. I have adapters for it that are like a screwdriver bit on one end, and with square drives for the sockets on the other end (1/4", 3/8", 1/2") - with that I use my standard sockets, etc.

Ok, so no need to get the "impact" versions, that's cool. I remember shattering my regular socket when I used my high powered electric impact gun long time ago so wasn't sure.

Sounds like I can just get the impact gun without the battery and fancy case and save quite a bit of dinero.
