OMG I'm tired. Just back from the Dragon. Drove (actual driving time) 21 hours in three days - 9 hours of mountain twisty driving yesterday spread between 7AM and 11PM, and 7.5 hours of that was leading two group drives. Just washed the schmutz off Blimey from driving about 600 miles on wet rainy leafy roads... and my wheels were dirtier than EVAR from driving with my AX6 pads in those conditions.

woo! welcome back, blimey. that's a lot of motoring.

there was a blue cabrio following me today behind my G with black stripes so it kinda reminded me of you. not quite but kinda.

got rained on while motoring the G. so blasted the grit off the side of the car and wheels when i got home and finished off using SOCW. man i hate cleaning 3pc wheels.... takes forever to dry. 1.5hr drive turned into a 3hr detailing session.

in other news...i too drove over a lot of wet dead leaves this am in my Z (stupid bicycle riders not yielding to traffic so had to drive over the center line where piles of dead leaves were ) and took a while to rid all the leaves off under the side sill when i got home.. at least she's clean now.

i started using Meguiar's HotShine tire dressing today and noticed it's not as as glossy as InsaneShine.

I've got a $100 Order ready for Griot's Garage...SUCKS when you can't remember your PW??!!

I bought some Waffle Weave Towels today from...(don't FLAME me!!)...Wal-Mart, I think they are a better size than what I got from DP, I got 4, but I think I'll want to get another 4 next time we're there. Cut the Tags off and they are now in the wash along with my other Detailing Towels!!

wow, griot's missed out on a good sale.

i suppose walmart ones can work if you blot dry. even the DP waffles will swirl your finish if you drag wipe unless you have ample hydro/QD on it... it's just the way it is.

keep us posted how the (Wal-Waf) walmart waffle works.

so today i sold the aftermarket intakes for the Z.
i found out kinda late that i was missing the heatshield brackets. so asking the manufacturer to send me a pair. I got raped on the price (well, got haggled very badly) so dont want to spend too much more money on it if i dont have to.

Jep jep, I think I know what you mean...lately my G feels kinda frim. Not that its too firm but I've noticed it more.

Gotz the exhaust off the FitS tonight and hope to sell it before the night is over.

I'm kinda saving up for a new HU for the G... Still about 5bills short...

It took a call to Griot's to get my PW situation worked out. That's done now and my order is being shipped today. I ordered 2 different sets of towels, Spray on Car Wash Towels and Window Towels, the Collapsible Bucket (Wheel Bucket), the Griot's "If you can't stand the Heat get out of MY Garage" Garage Thermometer, the Multi-position Hose Nozzle, and the Cordless LED Work Light.

I've been looking for a work light for a while now, I initially wanted something that would stand up on its own on the floor board, but I think this one with its Dual Charging System will work out just fine!!

RJ- sounds great. when you get your griot's towels make sure you remove the tags completely. by completely i mean remove everything. those tags can swirl your finish. i noted this several times to Griot's but they keep putting them on just to annoy the hell out of me.

the SOCarWash towels (green) are great. they have the full length threads on BOTH SIDES, so if you wear gloves (or you dont care about your hands) you can use both sides while cleaning. twice the power of DP's platinums. and very fluffy.

but not super fluffy like monster cat so easy to handle.

as far as work lights, i recommend you get the one from Sear's. it's red and looks exactly like Griot's yellow one yet much cheaper. i fabricated a handle for it so it's a lantern. very easy to move around the garage.

wat did i use for the handle? i used those wiper refill metal pieces, bent the ends and stuck it into the lamp's grill at the top. never failed me once.

the FitS's exhaust is now sold and should be able to ship by end of the week (waiting for the eCheck to clear... come on, paypal... )

anyway, the FitS is quieter but engine noise is kinda loud.
so i may need to remove the engine...

Where did you find the pic?

blimey- here's the linky. im hoping they do a V6 with 6MT but that's probably wishful thinking. the picts are still based on the previous gen TSX.

yah, i remember those accord wagons in the days. my in-laws had it and it was nice.

I found some stuff after my last post.

There's various pics out there - the Euro-spec Accord Wagon (which is what I want, but they're not bringing it here) and then mockups of the TSX wagon - which would be similar. I'd rather have the Accord with the Accord trim in and out... but the Acura will be nice, I'm sure. I'm not a big fan of the nose on the Acuras.

Best guess, probably around $40K for the Acura wagon - maybe a bit more. We could probably swing that.

yah, the silver nose is kinda tacky, but i suppose you can paint it or put bat's tint bra on it to settle it down a bit.... the contrast isn't too bad on white and silvers though.

hummm... i need to think about the price. was all excited about the offering but forgot about the price. if it's going to be near or above $40K i think i'll pass. reason being i dont want to spend a whole lot on dd's. $35K tops, i think.

hey congrats on the marriage and baby. M's are nice cars. so you're going to get a 2nd MINI or is that going to replace one of your cars?

thanks on the 370, it's nice. i like it. actually i already sold the pop chargers on both the G and Z this month. im kinda done with noise. want torque, but no noise.

wooo, G37's are nice too, that 7AT is slick. my buddy has the 08(?) G35 which looks like the G37 but came with the 5AT. he was also looking at the 3-series at the time but the G's are so much nicer these days.

My $40K estimate was loaded with the V6 - which i doubt is the way you'd buy a DD (loaded, I mean).

yah, i dont need all the bells and whistles like their technology package and stuff. just need the basics like engine and tires and i'll just add the others later.

imaging buying a dd in a kit like at ikea and some assembly required...

Finally gave the MINI a bath after a month of being dirty. It's nice to have a white roof and silver wheels again.
