Took mine around the block when the snow melted away this weekend. A reminder as to why I own and love this car.

Detailing in Indiana is like golf or beach volleyball. By the time you start to get good at it, it's Winter again and you have to hide out for 4 months

Being in CA or FL must be nice, detailing/golfing/vballing all year with no interruption!!!!

When I moved to FL from upstate NY (Rochester/Buffalo) in 1991, I thought it would be nothing but 80 degrees and sunshine all year round. Yeah, right! When I was in college at FSU in Tallahassee, I was really needing my winter clothes from up north. And now, in the 2 weeks before Christmas this year, it was 35 degrees here. In South Florida! And windy as hell, right from the north! I never thought I would see the cold weather icon appear on my dash computer, but there it appeared on December 16. True, we don't get snow, and we don't have to deal with salt on the roads, but we do get hurricanes in the summer/fall. And I don't think parts of California have it much nicer either, with all the snow and rain they've been sacked with, and now the flooding and mudslides. Try to be happy where you are and when you're in need of a smile, go out and look at your beautiful MINI.

They all do it. It's letting you know it might be slippery out and to take care when driving!

Hi gmodder: You would have bought the cold weather package as one of the options on your MINI. As for the cold temp icon, as noted by MLPearson79, the icon appears to warn you use caution when the temps dip. Roads and bridges could ice over, even if there is no snow, as long as there is moisture on the road and the air temp is cold enough. Bridges could even ice over in Florida if the roads are wet and the air is cold enough. So be careful if you see the icon pop up again. I am glad not to have seen mine since Dec. 16 or so.
