^ I got the dreaded Red X.

Too bad, too, because I'm betting it was pretty darn funny.

Yup, I'm looking forward to the same!
Next weekend is road trip time. Taking my son down to Flagstaff so he can check out Univ. Northern Arizona (The Lumberjacks?). I'm hoping the weather will cooperate enough so we can take the MINI. I was hoping to go down through Durango & Four Corners, but if it is snowy Wolf Creek pass can be a real drag.

That's an awesome drive when the weather cooperates.

I LUV Flagstaff...

On Saturday we're going with some of our MINI mates on our annual Eagle Run to go see the Eagles that gather for the winter north of here along the Mississippi. Should be 8-10 cars, always a fun time.

On Saturday I'm leading a fast twisty 1 hr club run for probably 20ish clubmates, that terminates at the local microbrewery for their weekly open-tap-"tour"...

I have never been to Flagstaff. Should be fun (mmmmm college girls).
Actually my route of choice is to go to Grand Junction and turn south on CO 141 though the Doloras Canyon. Takes you down to just west of Cortez. I'm guessing there would be some twisty back roads from there to Flagstaff, but again snow may be an issue.

That sounds like loads of fun, though I don't think I'd be able to properly enjoy the 'tour' knowing I had to drive back.

I'm sure some folks will sleep in their cars in the parking lot...

jk

well, knowing my club, not really...

But that's what designated drivers (aka girlfriends/wives who don't like beer) are for...

hey, we're up in the high 30's today. lots of melting snow is a
great sign....but these potholes are going to be a problem for my
hobby cars come spring..

construction season would be welcome this year...

But that would mean letting someone else drive my car! Plus my gf likes beer as much, if not more, than I do. We'd have to find a disinterested third party, and then I'd have to pass out.
