yah, that red beam is actually a laser so you don't want to shine that
thing into eyes or mirrors (anything reflective) as the reflection is just
as strong. it can blind people.

not sure about the high freq, but its possible.

Mine does not seem to have a LASER pointer, just the infrared beam. I'm pretty sure any LASER device needs to have a warning label on it.

I don't think mine is to high end. It was only worth $40 and I got it for $20. It also says it's accurate to + -3f, not a highly accurate device.

Yeah cool here too, but the sky is clear, so we can see the total eclipse of the moon really good. More snow/ice rain for the next 2 days.

It's a mostly cloudy here. My wife and daughter keep calling me up from the man cave to check it out. It should be full in about 1/2 hour +/-

My poor, poor MINI. After a 1500 mile road trip to Flagstaff last weekend through rain and snow, it's trashed - completely. Friday, if I can just make it to Friday then I can wash her before I take it to the dealer on Saturday. She gets a new top so I must get her clean least they think poorly of me and revoke my MINI ownership privileges. They can't do that right?

Just got back in. Eclipse in full bloom. Colder n a witches wart out there. But the moon's pretty cool. The clouds were almost cooperating.

Was totally clouded over here earlier - just looked outside and it cleared off in the last half hour! Missed the total, but still saw about a 75%...

Chuck... post photos... I want to see your definition of "completely trashed"...
Bet it's still better than some people's "pretty clean" or at least "not too dirty"...hehe

Great lunar eclipse here.

Had 2" of snow this afternoon and evening, then the sky just cleared up.

Nice medium copper penny moon at mid-totality, with Regulus and Saturn
flanking it.

Interestingly, it winked out on the western limb an hour ago, and now is winking back in on the southern limb.

Think of a pig, not a large one but a smaller nimbler pig, maybe a yearling who has been watching their eating habit and making healthy choices, dip it in a mud bath (I would suggest head first holding the beast by the back feet), roll it in dirt taking care not to get any grit in it's eyes and toss dried leaves at it (no twigs or stones just sifted very dry dead leaf material preferably from a Larch) - my MINI would still be dirtier (though not as tasty)! Now I'm not suggesting you actually do this to a pig (back off PETA) for a couple of reasons. First the pig would probably not like it, it would be heavy and frankly, not a lot of us actually have pigs, nor room to store it after the experiment is over - so this was just a mental exercise. You get the picture though.

Wow. I usually refrain from pig visuals until after my first cup of coffee. Defintely a new experience.

Me too! My first cup comes when I walk in my office at 6:00 AM. Apparently it takes longer than 23 minutes for the caffeine to bring my groggy mind back to life.

I'm not sure how I got myself into this routine, but I am walking in the office at 6:00 AM too. Not only that, half the time I get to leave early . Unforturnately, the damn late comers keep scheduling meetings which go to 5:00.

My trend is going the other direction....
Up at 6:45ish, ride the bike for 1/2 an hour while doing email and reading, then read/email some more while having a bowl of cereal, then shower, dress, and get to the office about 9:00-9:30... or work at home the rest of the AM and go in after lunch... used to be at my desk at 7:00.... hmmm.... maybe soon I'll be working from 1PM til 3PM and who knows what the rest of the time...

We are getting snow/sleet, general yuck falling now. No freezing rain here, thank goodness.

Had to show Lois some e-brake maneuvers while we were out Oh, and 180 reverse turns from a stand still

got my car washed, found a 3" long hairline scratch and a oil stain about
a size of a quarter. the scratch is on my front lip and i think it
couldve been from the carwash guy holding the spray nozzle too close
during the pre-wash while the car was moving on the rails...can't really
say for sure as the car was completely white before the wash.

cant do anything with the scratch until it gets warmer but will use some
scratchx to remove the stain later on tonight.

reasons why you guys should never get your car washed by anyone
else by you. at least it's on my dailydriver, not my MCS or G.

Keep your windows shut next time, and keep your lips in the car
