Snowed again here this morning, none of it stuck, but roads are wet. Poco and Sunnie are in need of a bath. Hope to have time Thursday, when temps should be in the 40s.

Here's a torque wrench ad from Griot's... hummmm... wat's wrong with
this? LOL

3/8" Torque Wrench 5-45 Lbs. Ft.
Griot's Garage Precise Dual Scale Torque Wrench From Europe
Torque wrenches decrease your chances of having stripped or broken fasteners and ensure that your engineered parts won't be under or over tightened. Every time you refit your wheel, your lug nuts should be torqued properly, and then re-torqued after 50 miles of driving.

at 45lbs/ft? i think your wheels will all be missing by then.

FINALLY got to wash Blimey today - first time in a month... still have big water restrictions here, so used 8 gal of rainwater and the pump-up sprayer...

Time for the big spring Swirl, Amigo and Epic job tomorrow... gotta get ready for car show season.

I was going to bathe both cars today, but ended up doing a bunch of other things, and we have to start getting things ready for folks coming over for dinner tonight. Must go chop things for fondue. So the cars get washed tomorrow.

yah, i too was planning to wash them myself today but considering
i had to run a certain amount of errands (like a lot ) there was
no way i could do it so stuck them through the machines.

and by the time i got home they were both salt dusted so im glad
i didnt do the work myself.

It's going to the low 70s here today, then rain/snow/sleet Monday and Tuesday But it's still bath day for the MINIs.

I got one of these the other day at the home show, and I have to try it out.

You can't get them at stores, but you can get them here;
http://www.shopdepalma.com/catalog/p...0b83b6c260bd46

Off to wash, I'll report on the new nozzle later.

$7 with tip, not here. Best you can do is about $9.95 plus tip around these parts.

Do they do a scratch free dry?

A side note: It was 80 and blue sky on Saturday, I did not get the MINI out for a wash, other cars had priority (wife's jeep).

Today: 30 degrees and about 4 inches of wet snow, love Colorado.

yah, i use those firemen's hose nozzles on my hose and works great.

best part is that you can close the valve when you twist it all the way
so that you dont get your garage all wet if you have the faucet at the
front of the garage like mine. i use these windup thingies i got locally.
look all the way in the back of the pict.

I have a question for you fellow OCD'ers. First of all both our MINI's are daily drivers. I haven't been able to wash them for at least 2 weeks so they are pretty gunked up. Got a window today where its going to be about 43 degrees, but as soon as Tuesday we are going to get bad weather again. To wash or not to wash? My feeling is do it so I can at least get a layer of Hydro on again before the next bad weather but it sure is morale killing to know all the hard work is going to go bye bye so soon! Or should I just wait another week and hope for better weather cause at 43 degrees I'm going to freeze my butt off!

well, it was at a shell gas station where i got a buck off their $6 wash
and paid $2 tip to the people that wiped down the car... if there was
only one person, i would've only given them $1...

scratch free... it's definitely within the acceptable parameters for
a daily driver. im going to be polishing the car anyway in a month or
two.
