Must be winter, quiet here
read their return policy. i read the return policy 2 days ago and
that's why i contacted them to send me a RMA and call tag and
a replacement.
yah, i went back to my manual pump soap dispenser....
so, im planning out my commuter detailing gear for spring.
bare minimum essentials... im doing the minimim effort again
this season. only thing to buy is Griot's one-step-sealant.
1. Griot's washbucket, MF wash mitt, CarWash, boar's hair wheelbrush.
2. Prima claybar and meguiar's maroon bottle QD.
3. Prima waffle weave towel and Hydro.
4. paper towels for Hydro'ing wheels.
5. meguiar's insane shine tire dressing with VRoom applicators.
6. Griot's one-step-sealant with orange pad, random orbital.
7. Platinum MF towels to do the sealant removal...probably 2-3.
8. BlackWow the black pieces with kiwi applicator.
how's that? very simple.
no need for a huge list of items.

Down here it's so dry I have to dust...
I recently got one of the Griot's microfiber dusters:

Finally had a chance to use it over the weekend.
OMG!

This thing is SOOOOO much better than my old fashioned waxy duster... the microfiber yarn it's made from is unbelievable - you drag your hand across it and it grabs all the little microscopic imperfections in your skin and doesn't want to let go. Does the same thing to dust - it practically SUCKS the dust off your car... but it's super soft and leaves no waxy residue behind... and it's washable...
Four thumbs up...

Oooo I might have to get one of those in the spring...I washed Clara today and was thinking longingly of the spring/summer days of weekly washes and QDs.
I hate winter and all the rain.
And Ken!! I now can no longer find those darn Vroom applicators here to save my life! *cries*

Mark
blimey- that thing really works, huh?
ive read mix reviews
of it and never got one.
if you leave your calduster on news paper for 7-8 days (turn on occasion,
use a dry section of the paper) it should not streak wax at all, unless
your surface is wet. i use cal duster over my glass. no issues.

I drained my OXO duster forever. Still leaves a little residue. Especially if the car isn't cold (note I didn't say "is hot") - but the MF duster doesn't care how hot the car is...
I don't know how it will work when it's dirty - but clean, it works great IMHO.

Any idea how these compare to the style of applicators that Griot's/DP carry? I'll admit it - I've never dressed a tire before.
have all the fun.

I just saw some of those applicators the other day (while I was looking for the applicator pad handles), so if you're really hard up for some I can pick some up the next time I'm there. I don't remember how much they were, but I think that link Ken posted might be a better deal.

it 2-3 times to reconfirm that i hated it.
the pad's too big forlow profile tires. the Vroom applicator ML found for us (the same one
in my link above) is TONS better in the respect that it's narrower and
the foam is more dense so the product stays at the surface, not get
soaked up.
the foam is also stronger than the cheezo yellow handle/gray applicators
you usually find at autoparts stores so lasts much longer and does not
flake away.
i have the Griot's/DP applicator. imho, they are not that great. i used

I'll have to pick up a pack the next time I'm oot and aboot. So you just slather some Bleu Cheezo tire dressing on the foamy bit, rub it on the tire, let it sit for a bit and wipe off the excess? (I was serious when I said I've never bothered to dress my tires before.)
Does Ken win anything for that ? Of course, the odds WERE in his favor.
And hey, Ken, when are you going to wash that filthy MINI ??

lol! man, that's a lot of posts.
hahaha! well, i do contribute some usefulness...sometimes.

once in a blue moon.
yah, i know, it's all dusty right now but if i use the calduster i think
it's going to streak.

thanks.
yah, im going for the factory performance look.
only people that know MINI's can tell it's modified kinda look.
