im not sure if i trust griot's for their electronic stuff anymore unless
it's sold elsewhere. then you buy elsewhere for lower price. sure, it
might be under a different brand or color might be different, but it's
99.999% the same damn thing.

so tonight i got bored and yanked off my bonnet stripes. 
polished and QD'ed my MCS before the next frikken cold 3 days.
it was nice hearing the buzzing RO.
did a quick clay and polish
under where the bonnet stripes were and applied BofS.
to my surprise the car looks pretty good without stripes.
im thinking about doing the CF style when it gets warmer.

I think the car looks great - I think IB is awesome nekked, especially with the aero kit. Now you just need to smoke the turn signal lenses and do a Joey mod and black out the headlight rings... yummy...

I've yet to see a MINI I prefer nekkid. Although I must say, I'm giving serious consideration to taking the boot stripes off my convertible. But as far as bonnet stripes go... YES YES YES !!

+1^ A MINI needs stripes. It should be a law.
I am currently suffering from WDCS (Winter Dirty Car Syndrome) that causes me to be depressed, anxious and irritable. I suffered from it last year as well.
I'm hoping a nice road-trip to Flagstaff in February (college visit for my son to see Univ. Northern Ariz) and then AMVIV in March will help shake it. I did wash the MINI last Friday though it was only 34 deg F. The sunny side of the car wasn't bad, but my Hydro would freeze on the shade side. I had to do half the car and then turn the MINI around to warm the other half.
I'm done with winter.

better i dont put it on to be original. ive been with stripes for the
last 5yrs. car looks refreshed... i think it looks more elite without it.

Nope. I just don't think a proper MINI should be left nekkid. It disrupts the balance of the cosmos. The force is not with nekkid MINIs or Minis for that matter. Like a dollar without Washington, a Vegas without the strip or the Cubs with a World Series victory. Some things were just not meant to be.

yah, car's bonnet looks silky smooth without those cluttering stripes.
my car originally didn't come with stripes. went through 2 dealer stripes,
one outmotoring stripes, and now no stripes.
