Looks great, Mark ! But where are the "before" pics so we can compare ?!?!

Lovin the relatively large, flat screen tv in the kitchen ! And that Clo... what a sweetie !

Just upgraded our kitchen, too. I'll try to post some pics later today.

This is cold

Hey Ken my MINI is not simple, it has front mud flaps, and those vents on the bonnet are from an 04.

Then when my surprise Bday present gets here on Monday, watch out

lotsie- i thought the makers of those thermometers put -50F as a
joke.

interior mods are always fun...especially when you have
rare or original pieces.

I've been thinking of getting those kind of gloves for cold weather MINI washing. It's not really the washing that gets my hands cold, as I use warm water, but the drying. Thought I'd try those over some tight fitting wool gloves. Maybe with some hand warmers in them.

i just got done doing 3 toilets, one bath, and one shower... and my
hand did not get wet at all. it's a little short for doing carwashes,
but for drying a car, household cleaning, etc. i think it will do just fine!

i use those bleach based cleaners so it kinda stings when it penetrates
open wound.

You know, it just hit me, how much of an oxymoron "Detailing Moderator" is around here...

there's detailing moderators and also detailing modulators, i suppose.
some people (not me) like to stir things up at times.

I'm small in stature, 5'-7", 150lbs, so I'm not an ox, but some days the moron part fits

Okay, here's a few shots of the upgraded kitchen.

Replaced the white stove with this black and stainless model. Love the double oven as we have used the smaller one on top several times already.

Here's the relatively new fridge. It's much larger than the white one that was in the house when we bought it last year.

And you can't replace the refrigerator and range without replacing the dishwasher:

Painted a six-inch wide red stripe around the top of the wall. I put a string of lights on top of those cupboards that backlight those decorator bottles at night... gorgeous.

And finally, some new valances that match the ones in the adjoining dining room:

ANYBODY surprised that our kitchen is done in black and red ?!?!?!

Yeah - I guess what I was thinking was:
a) the people that hang in the detailing forum don't typically engage in behavior that requires forum moderation (though mark is certainly welcome and appreciated!) and
b) the real point - there isn't anything "moderate" about ken and chris and theresa and melissa and <list other OCD'ers here>'s approach to detailing... nor do I think mark could "moderate" their detailing even if he had a firearm handy... they'd gang up on him and beat him to death with their microfiber towels...

Death by MicroFiber Towel... that's how I want to go when I'm 93 years old ! Monster Fluffies would be best, but I suppose that might be asking TOO much.

Thanks, guys. And yeah, we ARE quite the domestic bunch. And you know, I can not only take pictures of the kitchen, I actually know how to use it !

I'm very domesticated. Just don't ask me to sew anything. :impatient

Oh yeah, Mel, that double oven is GREAT. Love the smaller oven on top, we use it often... more fuel efficient and it's nice not having it right there just below waist level.

Gotta get one !!
