Lookin' good, Mel !!

Don't you love those wheels ? Sooooooooooo easy to clean. And good looking, too, especially for OEM wheels.

yah, those and R90's were are my favorite OEM for sure. although s-lites
look nice too. the B/B config demo the dealer had was a 5MT
and had those wheels and i was deciding between that car and mine.

MINI's were really scarce back then. now i see rows of R56 parked at the dealer.

Is there an ice scraper that works better than others? Or do they just all suck? No, my girlfriend is not a valid ice scraper.

Also, it was below freezing on the drive in this morning. Looks like I'm approaching not being able to wash at home anymore. :( Supposedly there's a good touch-free wash down the street from work. I'll try it out once I'm brave enough (or desperate enough).

Yeah, the 5-stars are my winter wheels. My chrome ones are stored for the winter I LOVE the 5-stars though...if I could have found a place to chrome them at a reasonable price I'd run them all year round!

We use OXO brand scraper/brush combos, they work well, the brush has soft bristles, and swivels. The ice scraper works well, and the whole thing is about 2 feet long.

We got ours at Bed, Bath and beyond.

i was expecting you to use glue and pine leaves to make your
natural brush.

so, it's frikken freezing here in 25F temps and i am ready to pull out
my MCS.

yesterday coming home from the airport, it was about 32F, flurries
and the ramps and bridges were not salted yet. there were some super
slick areas... while i and most of the folks slowed down, some guy just
didn't get it...he slipped off the ramp and dove into the cornfield.
im sure he's fine, but im also sure he was stuck in there good. then a
bonehead in a trans-am also bit it as his FAILed pos car spun out of
control into the railing at low speeds. idiots. they couldve caused a
major accident.

slow down out there. you only get one chance before you wreck your
car and other's cars.

It's sad how many people just think "Oh I have ABS/traction control/etc I'm fine" and drive normally despite slick roads.

Wrecking other's cars is bad, injuring or killing someone is worse.

motoring the MCS was fun this am. 21F on my obc.

im impressed how well the Dunlop SportMaxx tires (summer) grips
in the cold!

came home, dusted the car and dropped the f-king duster handle
on my aero sidesill. scratch-x'ed and rewaxed.
i think the duster wants to be fired.

So.... cruising down I-95 at about 70mph this AM... and a big cardboard box comes flying off the truck in front of me.... my cat-like reflexes were useless.... nailed it almost dead center... had a GIANT old dirty air filter in it from some piece of farm equipment... got stuck in my right front wheelwell and cheese grater'd the inside sidewall off my tire... I have some oil leaking, not sure what yet... in my mechanic's able hands now...

The good news... now I can get the aero bumper...

I DO have a low comp deductable... I also understand the value of flying/bouncing/rolling/falling/tumbling boxes vs. plain old stationary ones, thanks to your educational efforts.

I was going to do my full fall polish/Epic job over the Thanksgiving weekend....grrrr.... after finding reasons to NOT take the time to polish it for months, now I'm jonesin' that I can't polish it...
