Must be winter, quiet here
Uhhhhhhh... nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Not Afghanistan, either.
Would you believe, BUSY ???
No goof off time at work, wrapped up in my beloved Phillies playoff and World Series run, the start of football season, studying for an Insurance exam, trying to keep my 13-year old from failing every subject in school, etc, etc, etc.

Well, thanks for keeping Ken busy and out of trouble in my absence. Full time job, I know. Hope Mel helped you out in that regard.
BTW, I didn't take time off from keeping the MINIs clean and shiny. Surprised ??

Ken - for your mushrooming - here's a non violent method that I suspect is much less likely to make your towers brittle through work-hardening...

Just stumbled on this while searching for a mushroom removal how-to for another thread...

but i already sold the STD's to another member.
lol
will check out the linky though. but from my PDR perspective,
once metal is bent one way the strength of that metal is
probably only max 80% strong when you bend it back. it's got
memory and will bend again in the same way.

hey now, that tower bolt is only suppose to be torqued up to
about 25lbs/ft. im not about to force it. it's there only to keep
the strut mount from moving around, not to re-shape the entire
tower.

i think im going to get their cheezo homeowner 22" width
5 drawer and put it on my lower shelf of my workbench.

with the 15% discount it's pretty
much free.
thinking about using that pull-out drawer
for lug nuts.

Hell, that could be a Ferrari. Just leave the cover on until you get new neighbors and keep 'em guessing. Then when you take it off, they'll say, "Oh... it's ONLY an Nissan."
Bwahahaha
Bwahahaha

I'm going to finish insulating our attic today, now that I've got all the electrical done up there. Then I may do some electrical down stairs in my shop area. I need some more lighting, and a few more plugs, so I don't need to have so many extension cords.
Temps are in the mid 30's here today, and it's drizzling, but tomorrow is going to be 50 and sunny, so it will be MINI bath day, and get some more yard work done.
Mark
Hey, Mark... how've you been ??
Your weather sound just like our weather. It's been rainy and just downright damp the past three days here. Tomorrow looks much better.
Might give a couple of the MINIs their pre-winter shot of Epic tomorrow. They're due.

We're doing good, hear you have been busy. Not sure if you heard, we got rid of the Cabrio, and got an 08 Clubman S, love it. The Cabrio was out of warranty, and was having "issues". The dealer had the Clubbie on the lot, and gave us a great deal.
His name is Gimli;

Now I'm off to Lowes to get some insulation, that will fit in the Clubbie
Both our MINIs have their winter polish/Epic on them

Wow, Mark !! Yep, a lot has been going on since I was last around here.
Lovin' the Clubbie !! Nice color choice, too.
There may be a Clubman in my future, too, since my other half adores them.
Who drives this one, you, or Lois ? I bet I could guess.

Clara is getting a bath this afternoon when I get home, and probably a coat of BG as well.
Then I have to make two batches of pumpkin bars for the REME run/picnic tomorrow. Boo on cooking but worth the fun tomorrow

I lied. It cleared up here for a few minutes this morning, so I washed Blimey. Had to dry him in the garage as it started raining just as I was finishing...
Got my Craven GPS mount installed (easy) and all my wiring re-routed (time consuming, required removal of all stuff in center stack AND my Chrono Pack), made a "fake" face for my Chrono Pack and swapped for the "real" one so I can send it off for a custom one. Took the car off stands and drove to have lunch between showers. Pulled back in the garage just before the sky opened up. Back on jack stands now with all wheels off. About to do brake pad swap, caliper touch-up and switch wheels....
Oh yeah... and installed 1/4" self-adhesive neoprene panel where the hood scoop used to be - looks GOOOOOOD and makes my DDM IC diverter seal better. Got the neoprene from a Kayak outfitter online...
I have a couple more things to do - will blog about my engine bay makeover in another week or two when done, with pics...
