Actually I'll be interested in what others have to say about the brushless washes.
LOL

touchless works ok, but it really depends on the machine.
some touchless are garbage, some are better.

Supposed to be rrrrrrrrrrrrrreally cold here tomorrow, Ken. Like a high temp of 36, cold.

I have a feeling this is going to be a brutal friggin' winter.

OK, you guys are all cold weather washing sucks

I used to wand wash Poco down to about -5F with no issues. Now the coin wand washes back up in Manitoba are indoors and heated, but if you take the time to dry things, no issues.

The main issue with true touchless car washes, is depending on the soap they use, it may strip your wax. Now you could opt to get their spray wax, which may last a week or so, but it's hit or miss coverage wise. Kind of how they operate, wax on, next wash, wax off, wax on...........

Lois took the Clubman into the dealer today to have our promised Multi-Function steering wheel installed, and our melted scoop replaced. I had her ask the dealer if I could have all the old parts, and they said sure. I plan on using the scoop to practice paint touch-ups, plus figuring out how to Dremel more holes in the vent. No real plans for the steering wheel, but I guees I could make the grandkids a go-kart with a Kool MINI steering wheel.

Now if it still has the air-bag, well the possibilities are pretty much endless

I'm not hating tomorrow's weather because I wanted to wash a MINI or two. I'm hating it because I just generally dislike cold weather.

Is it April yet ??

No, but there are 2 A's in January

Oh I may come across as a winter lover, but believe me, I don't miss those brutal Manitoba -45F, snow on the ground for 6 months winters.

lotsie, I did a Dremel job on my scoop vent when I took it off to paint it. It is a pretty easy job with a straight burr bit. It actually does a lot of melting of the plastic, but a disposable, heavy grit, thick foam nail file did a good job of cleaning it up. I then used a small round file to clean up the corners.

I made a couple of small gouges in the first fins I tried, but they are not noticable at all when it is installed. Start near the top, since you have to be pretty low to see them anyway.

I now have an aero front bumper cover in my Kia Spectra rental car... gotta drop it at the shop tomorrow.... turns out I'm getting a new condenser AND a new radiator - WOO HOOOOOOOO! No more grungy splotchy radiator! Gotta figure out how to KEEP this one clean and shiny... guess this will also take the place of my 60K radiator flush and fill....

Got my aero lower grille... gonna UJ it this weekend

I'm jealous. I need to hit a flying non-stationary object at freeway speeds so Clara can have a new aero bumper!

First Ken, and now this guy.

I'm really starting to question your judgment in selecting your friends, Paul.

My weekend started today. Worked last Saturday so I had today off. Cleaned up my CR Cooper, did some chores around the house, made some homemade Vegatable Soup, etc.

Tomorrow: If it's warm enough, going to wash Dr Evil. Going out to dinner with our dear friends from the local DCMM club... to The Cheesecake Factory.

Sunday: FOOTBALL watching day.

How 'bout you ??
