The bulb check warns you if the bulb is out. It sends current to the bulb and expects a response, if not you get a bulb out warning. By defeating it you no longer get that warning. People who want flicker free LED lights deactivate. I'd rather have non LEDs and know when my bulbs are out.
I installed bimmercode and unlocked coding yesterday, hoping to:
4. If possible I would like to auto lower door mirror on reverse (I activated this in the code, but selecting reverse in the garage did not move the mirror. Later reverted the setting back to inactive).
Make sure the mirror adjust switch is toward drivers side, that activates it. Toward passenger side won't work
Go to Multimedia --> External devices --> select the USB symbol --> Additional media --> Video
then you can select the directory where your video files are stored if needed.

Thank you so much xentar
Multimedia is one of the icons from the centre console like telephone, radio, navigation (if equip) , mini connected, etc.*
but I dont think this information is in the manual because to see video we need to do coding =(
The steps that I provided are from the manual. You don't need to do coding for the video playback to work. Video in motion is when you want to continue watching video when the car is moving. I think by default and for safety purposes, the video can only be displayed on the screen when the car is in Park (P) and not in R, N and D.

I thought cant see video (un movement or not) only with coding
were you able to figure it out? I have same issue lol
Three of us now. On my Feb 2017 build F56 w/LED lights. Coded in expert with Bimmercode. Triple checked im following the simple lines in the first posts. Im going to set back to stock / no fogs and reassess

The coding I posted are for my Feb 2017 F56S.
So, it’s not the build.

Good reference point. appreciated.
Just updated bimmercode app (new push since i was last on 6 days ago)
triple checked my settings for the left/right lights:
MAPPING_BREMSL_2_L_OUTPUT
AND the corresponding right side
MAPPING_BREMSL_2_R_OUTPUT
accessing both has the app taking me to a screen with the output choices. Radio buttons beside each to select
Ive chosen
nsl_l for the left output
and
nsl_r for the right output
The fog lights do act as additional brake lights - but my LED main brake lights only light up the lower half circle: the 9 o clock to 3 o clock. No upper circle.
Potential Variables/commonalities with others having 'half light' Maybe others can chime in - see if we can narrow it down
I have the fog switch /fogs enabled/step not needed. In checking my settings for fog light active as a first step - i noted it was already on. Didnt perform that code/cycle
Ive reconnected to the BDC EDU and changed the foglight output for brakes to OFF. I Still have the 'halfmoon' regular brake lights - so i'll keep digging.....i did find this translation of all outputs. trial and error time...
sl_l (this is the side light choice)
fra_h_l (turn signals?)
bfd_l (brake force?
sml_l (no idea?
nsl_l (this is the rear fog light)

For the couple of other chaps with only half the brake circle lighting up - thought id share my experiments to get back in business
Prob: only the bottom half of lights up/has light outputting when shifting to the fog lights output
fooling around all done in the BDC ecu - and in expert mode
So - top and bottom half circles seem to have outputs splint into two
BREMSL_1_L_OUTPUT - this is in the LceLampMapping 3 item
looks to be the bottom half of the LED circle
only has two options. bl_l or off.
same for the right hand side......
BREMSL_2_L_OUTPUT - this is in the LceLampMapping 4 item
looks to control the TOP half of the LED circle.
options for output: looks like i cannot switch light output to the fogs without losing the top. ive cycled thro all options. To get the full circle, and brake force - im chosing the bfd_l option.
works for me for now....
YMMV. hope sharing my investigations helps those with the same whoops moment....
Has anyone figured out how to separate the brake and turn signal functions with the Union Jack tail lights? My car (2019 F57) has the lights from the factory, but as most know they don't function the same as they do in the UK/Europe, where the brake and turn signals lights are separated functions.

US lights don’t have the separate amber section, you will have to purchase a UK version.
Most cars for the US operate the same way, wrt brake and indicator being the same light.
