Many of Stephans shortcuts have problems, depending on dealer coding.
The basic menu are shortcuts to expert mode only.
Try smartphone ringtone directly in expert mode.

That's so weird, when I tried coding it like 4-5 months ago it didn't work and it was stuck at 3 blinks. Then I coded it like amonth or so ago without me going to the dealer, just updated the Bimmercode app and it started working. I've had 5 blinks turn signal tap option for last few months now. I'm 2016 F56 Cooper S 2-door.

Are you using shortcuts or expert mode and if in expert where?
I had mine coded and working with 5 blinks then had dealer update at first service. That put it back to 3 and now don’t seem to have option to change setting to 5 in Bimmercode

I did it in both modes and it didn't work no matter what I did. It was still 3 blinks for like a month after that and then all of a sudden I started getting 5 blinks. I don't know if I updated the Bimmercode app or something but my car wasn't at the dealer in that time period so it can't be that they did anything with the software on my car. Just weird is all, and that's after Stephan from Bimmercode posted that they don't allow for the blink rate to be changed from 3 to 5 anymore.

Did you change the setting in idrive under lights to 5 blinks? Mine works perfect for that option.

Do any if you use Carly as well? I have it and wondered how Bimmecode compares. Also would my Carly OBD work with Bimmercode? Just got an F56, had the Carly OBD when I had an R60. Thx

Doh. Must have been part of the update performed during service on the F56 as I'm sure the option wasn't there before. On the Countryman the option is there. Thanks...I'll check.

Veepeak bluetooth, don’t get the kiwi 3. I had to send my kiwi 3 back as it never worked, but weeks after there was a Bimmercode update to fix kiwi connections, so you can decide. The Veepeak just works.

I have Carly but does not allow me to code without their SPECIFIC OBD Dongle so I use it for diagnostics and such. I'm curious to see what CarlyBMW has to compare in regards to coding. But don't feel like dishing out $70 or something for theirs. For now I just use BimmerCode, much cheaper.

Waiting for the day someone sells their Carly dongle or offers a "rental" service for a few days lol.

Stephan at Bimmercode stopped supporting those due to issues.

Hi! Can you be more specific about what means "stopped supporting"... Stefan blocked this adapter from working in the next app's updates or just does not guarantee correct work with it? If everything works well now, can I continue to use it?

Thanks!

coding the minimum speed of ACC

My MINI Cooper S will arive in this autumn.

How can I code the minimum speed of ACC with the new 2018 MINI F56 Cooper S?
I'd like to try, but I can not find information about ACC.

As for the rear fog light as brake light, the base Cooper has a single central fog light, not left and right - would the coding be different?

Thinking of taking the plunge on my 2019, disabling the "safety" screen since it takes far to long to auto dismiss compared to my 2007.. and seems to chime forever. So if I can get that, at the moment, useless light to do something I would like to.

Do we think the U.S. 2019 F5X cars are still wired for the rear fogs, since none of them have that option anymore? Would love to enable to rear fog on my 2019 F57.

It sure looks like there is a bulb in there, but it's hard to tell. It could all just be ornamental - lens and chrome around it.

I can confirm that I was able to enable the rear fogs as brake lights on my wife's 2019 F57. The bulbs and all the wiring is there.

That's promising, now just to figure out the coding for a the single central light vs the left and right fog lights of S.
