All Aboard the TAGUS! (Week 31) Leaving Southhampton 8/9/07
As an aside Kimberely, I used to work next door in Camas, WA. You live in a great community!
My MA told me today that since I am not having any parts installed at the VDC it's likely my car will be ready for me EARLY NEXT WEEK

can I be cryogenically frozen until then? otherwise I'm going to be chewing the corners off the ceiling tiles very shortly!

That being said, I hate that I cannot find the Tagus anywhere on the AIS map. It is like there is a black hole between the Panama Canal and Mexico. I am going out of my mind here!!!! Even a round of golf (I beat my spouse by two strokes) didn't help. I am going to go drink something, preferably alcoholic. Losin' it!
I agree! I am glad that another neurotic being lives close by!

Well...not sure how fast TAGUS travels but if I give her 15 knots, that's roughly 17 MPH. It is 382 miles from San Carlos, MX to Oxnard, CA. That puts TAGUS in dock in roughly 22 hours... give or take 6 minutes
I'll try to do a little more research into how fast TAGUS actually goes... but first... I need to go get some coffee!

Good to see all of you
With server migration beginning today I logged on with a heavy heart, and what to my wondering eyes should appear..... my MINI buddies are still here!!!!
Thanks for the tracking and updates. I have heard that making 15knots is difficult with the MINIs bouncing around in the back screaming, "Are we there yet?"

Good Morning everyone. . .and what a lovely morning it is! MINIs drawing close, roads being slurried in readiness. . .life is great!
Talked with my dealership yesterday, and I guess down here it takes 2-3 days for them to get the cars. Then whatever they are putting on takes another day or two. I THINK I'm going to have my little Scoop by next weekend!!!!!
The following week our school district always gets Rosh Hashana off (Did I say that? I meant "Fall Recess" - even though it always falls on RH!). I'll take the kids and we're off on a ROAD TRIP! Wheee!
Gonna go log in on the AIS site and look for Tagus now!
Ooh~ song idea came to me at 4 this morning: "Wild Thing" by the Troggs. Anyone else ever hear it?

Okay I need the URL for aisfree you are using. AIS for me went down about 3am and right now when I pull up the maps they are not working. Still tracing servers, but would like to try the UL that is working for you folks...thanks.
I though it was just me. I've tried two different links to aisfree. Ya think it's on their end?
I'm noticing a trend. Tagus is untrackable on sailwx. Now the ais site is non-functioning. I think our MINIs like being stealth minis! As long as they stay under speed gun radar, I'm happy!

I think this will give you that live link...
And this is where I got it http://aisfree.aislive.com/Influx.as...Coast%20Mexico
I can't get the world view to come up tho. I had to use my history to get around to the more local views...
Thanks for the link, but still having the same issues, if you click on any of the side areas of the map, it does not update to that area. The only AIS maps that I can get to work is the Panama Canal, the Southhampton, gulf coast and others are all re-acting the same.
This happened a few weeks ago after the sight went down, looks like they are updating software and have went back to the older version and now it is hanging.
Let me know if any of you have luck in seeing Tagus trek up the coast, hopefully it starts working soon. Also I'm not seeing Tagus on the SHie Micro maps either. Strange day so far.

Personally I think it's the evil captain, E. Vader. He has done everything in his power to keep us from tracking our babies. I think the E. stands for EVIL!
AIS is down for me too
Oh, I almost forgot... Wild Thing, I think I love you...

A side note, I think the AIS sight is hosed right now, in the past I have never seen a any of the RO/RO ships go anywhere near that close to the coast till up north near the LA area. Unless your Mini's want to go swimining off of Baja.
Oh come on! Captain Evasive is helping protect us from the evil Chinese MINI show officials who didn't get their minis in time for the unveiling and tried to steal them from the TAGUS!
(I came across one post once, and haven't found it again. AND I'VE LOOKED! :impatient It showed pictures from a MINI show in China, but while the NAM poster was there, there was never an unveiling! At all! You can just see the little tires peeping under the covers. I thought that was mighty suspicious, and would be fun to put into a chapter about the brave TAGUS and why she is sooooo stealthy now!
)
Anyway. . . I need coffee! - Here's the latest obsession-feeding alteration in my life. Too much on the boards to make your own coffee? Buy the $1.29 cans of espresso from Trader Joes! Sure it's expensive, but it buys you an extra 3 minutes on the NAM board!
