Hey Kimberly and Mini2na---your babies will be in port today

I hope y 'all have your personalized plates picked out...it's getting down to crunch time!

How far are you guys from the VDC? I know if I lived in SoCal I would've gone down there to watch Charlize come off the boat! Big Welcome Home sign waving in the breeze, flowers, champagne, hugs and kisses... aaahhhh

This is all so exciting!!!!

About 1000 miles for me. It'll still be a week or two.

Hope all have a trouble free delivery and happy motoring.

Sunday was the first chance we had to take Skeeter on a short road trip, was only a little over 200 miles, three of us in Skeeter on highway 4 out of Stockton to the Moaning Caves in Vallecito and averaged 31MPG. Not bad considering the terrian and Skeeter had just passed the 1200 mile break in.

Also did the 1,500 foot long Zip Line and Skeeter was parked under the cables so had good aerial view of him as zipping past him. Also have a Disnyland trip scheduled for the first week of October, thinking about taking Skeeter dow to meet Mickey and Mini.

The Waggoners trucks do have satellite tracking, just can't find a way to track them yet.

Just verified that my baby has been on dry land since 9/2/2007 at 11:11. Woo Hoo! Now it has the VDC, I-5, dealer prep, then to me. Oh, what fun we will have.
Lil A - I love the plate idea.
Scoopmama - I really like the idea Lil A mentioned for you!
Tharkun - Sounded like a great trip this weekend, I wish I could be enjoying my baby right now.
Kimberley - Can it REALLY take 16 more day from now????

I am really hoping for the end of next week ~ but I am going to try not to be disappointed if it is the following week.

Tharkun - you need to take a trip east and go up Hwy 49. It is twisty and fun and goes through the foothills wine country (my old stomping ground).

From past deliveries I think your estimate of end of next week is likely. Now if there was a way of knowing when the truck left the VDC Skeeter and I would watch I-5 and get some pics as the Mini's passed us here in Tracy.

Have several road trips planned and hopping to take delivery at the end of the month of the Spyder. If that stays on schedule Skeeter will have his brother to travel with.
Still trying to get time to make a trip home to WA taking the cost highway all the way up, would be a great trip in a Mini.

Has anyone tried calling the VDC? Do you think they would give us any information regarding the status of our children? Just a thought...

I tried to search for a number and gave up, I would guess they do not have a public listing just for this purpose, to keep Mini owners from calling and wanting updates.

Wow, the boards were BUSY today! I ordered my plate late last night, but swore to keep it secret until Lil A gets HIS plates confirmed!!! I'll just say, I love the way you think, Lil A!

Kimberely~ how many old stomping grounds do you have? Temecula, east coast, Washington. . . wow!

Mini2~ good luck tomorrow~ do you have students showing up or is it a work planning day? I have a friend who lives in Battle Ground and teaches at a nearby high school. I taught in Bellevue for a year- I loved it!

I'm going to call my dealer tomorrow and see what they have to say about arrival. Is anyone on this board who is closer to the VDC than me? I'm getting Scoop in Irvine.

It is SOOOO exciting!!!!

In an effort to track something (anything), I am still tracking the Tagus - it is now closer to my house than my MINI. It is approaching Seattle. I know that no one cares about this, but at least I know where something is.

I've lived all over: North Carolina, South Carolina, Illinois, Michigan, Iowa, Nevada, California (N & S), Oregon, and now Washington. Oh - and a year in Okinawa, Japan. Yup, that's all.

Thanks, I appreciate you keeping my secret. Unfortunately I can't order my plate until she's registered. We'll have to reveal the plates with pictures!

So... where are the Mini jokes? Couldn't find them...

The joke thread is currently on the 5th page, about 15 posts down. "The best joke I've heard all week" or something like that!

Kimberely~ All those travels sound so exciting! You must have some great stories! My brother gets to travel all around the US 3 weeks each month for his job, and he just loves it! I'm jealous at times, but not always!

We (mouse and my boyfriend in my pocket) got back from Beer 50 Nationals late yesterday and I squeaked out a minute to read through the last threads...
Check with: http://www.tommyswindowtinting.com/ (Portland area) for clear bra and window tint. They come recommended by several people we know, guarantee the bra and tint, plus less $--sans dealer markup.

You'll get Scoop soon Scoopmama. I get kids tomorrow. I ran the boring all staff meeting today that covered the rights and responsibilities of staff. Battleground is the next district north of where I live. I used to be up in Federal Way, nearer Bellevue. I've jumped the river to Oregon now.

Kimberley - so is Washington the place to settle down??

LilA - No luck with the VDC... and you could have been tracking Tagus with Kimberley.

It is pretty here right on the Gorge. I lived in Lake Tahoe for many years and that was gorgeous, but there were no high paying jobs (poverty with a great view) and I couldn't afford a nice house ~ so had to move. I still have contacts to visit cheaply, so all is good with the world.

They haven't even updated MINI position at MINIUSA to at VDC. Frusterated! The only link I have to my mini is the Cargo Status History from WW. So...back to tracking Tagus; she is currently in Tacoma Harbor, only two hours from my house. MINI still so far away.............

Hey Tagustians, just wanted to let you know that there is a cure for Minitrackingitus (a near debilitating disease of waiting for you MINI to arrive).... it is to be surrounded by 540 young children. They all came back today and I didn't have time to even think about where my MINI was or that I could not track it anymore. So, anyone in the area that wants a cure for Minitrackingitus is welcome to volunteer at our school.

Once at the VDC it is like falling into a black hole, OL is slow in updating, it is still showing Skeeter at the VDC with estimated delivery of 8/15. Once your MINI has been processed and cleared for shipment it sits and waits for a truck. From my understanding once Waggoners is notifed, they have as long as 8 days to pickup. Well in this "status" the VDC center, OL, and your MA are clueless and it is another waiting game. So be patient and it will happen........easy for me to say now that I have Skeeter here.
