No play date today. It will happen on Sunday. We hit the final day of the Rembrandt exhibit at the Portland Art Museum instead. FABULOUS!
I posted pictures of my pick up from the dealer in my gallery. More tomorrow after the ride up the Gorge.
Janeb0nd - were you at Rasmussen at 10A this morning? If it was you, I could kick myself for not saying anything to you. Anyway, hope your pick up went well today and that you are enjoying your baby.

Mini2na~ Frodo is BEAUTIFUL!!! Wow! I'll bet you get lots of smiles, oohs and aahs! Gorgeous color combo! Can't wait for updated pics of Mt. Hood!
Lil A~ I LIKE Scooter! So does the hubby! He wishes, I think, that Scoop was Scooter, but she's not! Scooter is a boy, it sounds like!
The gas cap is a warrenty issue, and should be fixed Wed.
Nite all!

Frodo and family went Motoring for the first time today. My 16 year old went too. What a wonderful suprise, but it did put us out about 45 minutes later than expected. She had the tune duties from her Ipod.
We headed east on SR-14 on the WA side of the Columbia River. Once clearing the Camas/Washougal area, we enter the Gorge Senic area. It was mostly cloudy, but it has to rank as one of the most beautiful areas of the country.
The winding roads made the trip a MINI-delight. Frodo loves to charge into the corners and come out flying. We stayed near the speed limit.
We found a couple of nice spots to take pictures and passes a couple of nice looking MINIs. Smiles and waves.
Next we traversed the Hood River Bridge an up the Mt Hood Hwy. We made a planned stop at a fruit stand for fresh apples and other fruity delights. It was her that the drizzle started, making views of the mountain impossible. We decided to head back west on I-84, which runs the same route, but back down the Gorge. The 70MPH freeway experience was just not the same.
Frodo has almost 400miles on him. That's 20% of the way there!!! (2000mi) Everything runs perfectly. It's kinda like everything about the car is better than I remembered, or had expected. I am sooooo happy with him.
He goes back in Wed night for his clear bra and tint. I hope they can also fix the window welt on the back hatch. While I washed it for the first time, I found that about 8 inches of the welt at the passenger side bottom of the hatch window was detatched or ripped. (Rasmussen has been great to work with through it all.)
I am happy that this week will unite even more of the TAGUS crowd with their babies. Share your stories. "We are MINI-family....."
Scoopmama - how did you put the picture link to your gallery on your last post?
I have MORE PICTURES added to my gallery.

I love the pics!!!!
I drove the loaner up into the Washougal hills for a wee bit today - just to play on the windy roads. But, I decided that I would wait for my Kermit (it is official) before really going motoring. Hubby has decided that we are going up the Mt St Helens route, by way of the gorge, for our break in run next weekend.
Lots o' windy roads that way. Pugs will come with. Their back seat liner should arrive on Thursday.

Such fun adventures! Washington looks so gorgeous! Makes me miss the 2 non-rainy months!
Great pics, Mini2na! For the thumbnail, after putting the pictures in my gallery from my Dell photo shop, I right clicked the one that's on there now above my signature and copy-pasted. Amazing it actually worked, given my panama canal track record!
Kimberely, Kermit is so cute! And the pugs will love the name, I'm sure! I cannot wait to see the interior
We took Ortega again today in the day both ways. Whew! I can hardly wait for the 2K to be over! But I have almost 400 on her, so like you said, Mini~ 1/4 of the way there in about 3 days! Maybe it's not that bad!

First fill up today! The only good thing about high gas prices is that the cost of premium over regular is a smaller percentage of the total bill.

Frodo looks like my mini's twin brother if it wasn't for my bridge spokes. I imagine you have also been getting complimented on the color... it looks even better than I could have thought!
I LOVE the color. I have begun to describe it a Sparkling Pewter.

Saw your MINI--SWEET car!
Curb checked the front wheel on drivers side (co-pilot totally at fault
) making a u-turn
Headed home on 26 to Cornelius Pass
then straight to Long Beach for dinner--and to hear the squeak of Mr. MOJO's tires in the sand.
The last thing I heard is that I should get it before the end of the week. I just sent Jarid an email asking about it. I'm taking the kids on a road trip on Friday after school and would really like to have that new car!
I made the mistake of looking at the Boheme thread that left a couple of weeks after Tagus, and many of them have already gotten their MINIs.
Here's hoping....
Nice looking car, by the way.
