R56 Week 33 Support Group!
I am getting really frusturated I called today to see what thje deal was my car has been finished for 4 days with quality and no movement? I call and the guy says it could be 5 weeks until it gets to me then last week they told me 3 weeks
Hope you get on it masterd78. Would save you a weeks worthing of waiting. I think next boat is 27th. If you are at port that is a good sign. Boat still has a couple of days before it arrives. Just repeat "My car will make the boat" "My car will make the boat" " My car WILL make the boat"
Good luck!
thejonathanpaul - I suspect the difference in estimated times you are getting from ASK MINI is just the difference between an optimistic estimate and a pessimistic estimate. Pray for the optimistic one!

Woo-hoooooo! it looks like we've got some 33'rs heading to the West Coast on Monday! (But not me. Yet.)
You can join the BOHEME thread here - some previous PW'rs are already manning the welcome wagon. (Be nice, some of them have been waiting more than two weeks to get on a boat.)
East Coasters - Hang in there. I'm hoping you all hear today or Monday about getting on the FAUST on Tuesday. (Didn't hear about any East Coasters getting a status change, so I guess nobody got onto K-Line's FRISIA today.)

East Coasters -
I haven't seen anything on the forums about it yet, but WW is already booking cars on the FAUST and the FREEDOM. Not sure when they started, but the booking numbers are GBSOU550791 and GBSOU550797, respectively. It looks like there are currently 23 MINIs booked on the FAUST, and a measly 2 (!) booked on the FREEDOM.
Keep checking, you might be chosen!

There is a nice site with lots of photos of the Southampton docks here, including pics of the vehicle terminal area, and a shot of a WW ship at its berth (see "So'ton Berths 30 - 36"). This site also includes a webcam view and is one of the sites that provides ship-tracking info.

Ask Mini says Im awaiting transport at the port or to the port. Now, my OL says Awaiting Transport. I will check the Ships now! Yeah, rastven, I hope our mini's are sharing the view to NY.
edit: Nothing booked on the ships as of yet..maybe I will get on it. It will be the Freedom or Fraust, as I think NJ VDC is the port for me.

My MINI's still on a train heading to the port. There were a lot of 33'rs that were getting completed yesterday. I hope all the WC's make it on time and get on board the BOHEME!

well askmini says that my mini is being transported to the port of exit. haven't gotten anything on ww yet though. I hope I don't get on a kline ship. I really want to be able to track my baby across the pond!
I'm thinking very strongly about it too. Here's a link for the best price I've seen. My only concern is that it says it fits 03-06 Mini's so I may be looking at the wrong one.

Number Six is "Awaiting Transport", too. Anybody got any ideas how I can cut in line?
As for you East Coasters, I'm gunning for you guys to make it onto the FAUST.
Note that I also read on another NAM thread that MINI has used NYKLine (see here) in addition to WW and K-Line. I haven't seen anyone in the NAM forums being booked on a NYKLine ship in recent months, but NYKLine was used in the past to ship both MINIs and BMWs, and it is definitely still used for BMWs. There are several boats going out this week, (use Southampton for the origin and Charleston or NYC for the destination in the schedule search), so it's possible you could get on one of those as well.
I know it's sort of a two-edged sword: the more boats to choose from, the sooner you might get loaded, but with no tracking for K-Line and NYKLine, you wouldn't know you were on these lines unless your MA tracked it down for you.
And let me encourage you: if you don't get onto the FAUST, I'd check with your MA on the 22nd and ask them to see if you haven't been booked on a K-Line or NYKLine ship. One of the people in another thread said their MA had at first denied being able to get any tracking info, but when he pressed him and his manager, they eventually admitted that they COULD get the info. He found out that, in spite of the fact that the OL still said Awaiting Transport, his MINI had already been shipped, landed at the VDC, and was on its way to the dealer.

Might ask for some money to go towards it for Christmas!
