R56 Week 33 Support Group!
DARK CHILI - I never asked, so I'm not sure, but everything I've seen refers to this week as 33, including all the calendaring software I use.
I didn't mean to steer you to the wrong thread - I was guessing at your PW. Your PW is an estimate - sounds like they got your baby started almost a week early! There's a support thread for PW 34, too - you're welcome to post in either thread.

Sweet!
My MA gave me a production slot that was about a week out, and that was fine by me. But I heard that some of the busier dealers are so booked up, their next available production slots are a month away.

P.S. Chili Red w/Black Roof. Good choice!

Zorg. My girlfriend has a mini being built and should be very close to yours in the production and shipping schedule. It was started to be built end of week 32 and scheduled to be completed today, 8/13. I checked yesterday and it said body shop with the automated ask mini number. She order from Long Beach mini July 30th. Maybe her mini and yours will be on the same boat. When did you order yours? Did you order from Jennifer at Long Beach mini? We went to Crevier first, but they want too much with mark up so ended up at Long Beach mini.

Wow, you guys that are getting in and having it start production in like a week are freakin lucky. I ordered mine in early July, and it will be done this week. But it sounds like we are pretty much all getting good news!
I have to agree, lucky indeed. I ordered a month ago, and got a vin this morning.
To be finished on 8/17 (I hope that it does not suffer from anyone looking forward to vacation):
Lightning Blue/Lightning Blue
White Sport Stripes
LSD
Sport Suspension
DSC
Xenons
ches, basic, but it has everything I need, and nothing I don't want. Well, except the stripes. Gotta have our luxuries, but selection is what finally forced me to choose the MINI.
Well, that, no weight, available LSD, and half the cost of a Lotus. So maybe not just selection.
Anyone know if cars destined for Texas come in on the east coast, west coast, or gulf coast?

I heard that Texas dealers get their cars from the Spartansburg VDC via Charleston, SC. Shipping is a week shorter for East Coast vs. West Coast.
A few West Coast people choose to buy from Texas or other East Coast-oriented dealers to shorten the delivery time, then fly one-way to take delivery and drive home. Although I think the drive home would be torture during the break-in period. ("Hey, little guy! Only doing 55? Need a push?!") Actually, I'm not sure what the top-speed would be during the break-in period cause I think it's based on RPMs. Plus, you're not supposed to drive at the same speed/RPM for long stretches. Of course, some folks scoff at break-in periods.

Congrats to everyone! I too found out my mini is in production as of the 11th and scheduled for completion on the 17th! Looks like a lot of our minis are making it down the line together! Who is coming to the east coast when done??
Update
Zorg. The status from 1-866-ask-mini updated today to awaiting transporation, but OL still says in production. We should be on same boat I guess. Good luck to all the other week 33 people. Any other west coast peeps here
in week 33?
in week 33?
tuxxer - That's great news! If all goes well, you should be shipping out on the 20th.
I'm a West Coaster, too, but like others, my baby probably won't done in time for the BOHEME, so I'm expecting to be on the next boat, on the 27th.

8/20 the Boheme sails off, and will arrive in Long Beach on 9/11. Next ship after that sails off on 8/27. There might be other ships that we don't know about.
Glad to hear about your MINI being ready. Congrats!
If you are lucky, being in FL, I think you could see your MINI in about 3-1/2 weeks. If something minor takes a little longer, it could be 4 to 4-1/2 weeks. I think it mostly depends on which boat you get on, and how far you are from a port with a VDC. (I have seen posts from people that had to wait more than a week to get their MINI on a boat.)

What is your schedule? Are you on in production now? Maybe you can squeak on the boat last minute if you are finish before the 20th. I think the next boat is the 27th from what I saw on some other post.
Good luck all week 33'ers!

I wanna share a pretty cool experience to all of you 33's like me. This is my second Mini. Once I hit 10k miles in my first Mini I needed to take it into the dealership for it's scheduled maintenance. There were 3 lanes to park your car for service. The 2 lanes to the left had about 20 cars in them with lots of folks standing outsde their BMers waiting. My lane, the "Mini lane" had none so I pulled right up to the front as all the BMW owners looked at me passing them as a service guy got in my car immediately and drove my car in for service. I was there about an hour drinking coffee while all the BMW owners had to rent cars etc.. It's nice owning a Mini!

tuxxer - My est. completion date is the 17th. To make it on the BOHEME, I think my baby'd have to get finished early (which is certainly possible), get through processing w/o any problems, and the BOHEME will have to have room. I'm keeping my seat-belts crossed for good luck.
chur - Welcome to NAM! Your boat depends on your port of destination - Texas and dealers east of Texas get their MINIs from East Coast VDCs, and states west of Texas get them from the West Coast VDCs. You can view an up-to-date schedule for the shipper that MINI usually uses here.
For the West Coast, there's a boat named the BOHEME leaving on the 20th; for the East Coast, the TAMPA is leaving on the 17th, but I'm not sure it will be carrying any MINIs because it looks like it's not hitting the typical cities where MINIs are delivered (not too sure on that point, though). The FAUST is leaving on the 21st, and it looks like it's hitting the ports where MINIs are usually delivered.
And as I've always noted, MINI sometimes uses other shippers.
