Well I know that there have to be some others of you out there. I am a convert from week 32 so lets talk about what we all have on order.

AB/W with bonnet stripes, Sport Package, LSD, Multi Leather Wheel, Anthracite HL, Cloth seats, White markers and tails.

Hi! I guess week 33 is now our new week. LOL
I guess after getting pushed into week 33 we
should atleast get a "secret compartment"
in our cars. LOL

 

I hope so!! Well it's sad to say, but at least there is a familiar face to hang out with in the week 33 group!

 

Were you told why you ended up in week 33?

 

Nope, and didn't ask. I just figured no excuse is going to make me feel better about it, so I just left it alone. Did you find out?

 

another week 33 transfer from week 32 here. Woohoo!! AB/AB.. just got my S-lites powder coated black this weekend. Another Miniac gave me a great deal on his wheels that he had swapped out. They're heavy but will look amazing I think.. well, I hope it looks ok with AB since AB isn't really black. Great to be on "Team 33". Production week 32 was a pretty cool group too.

 

Blackpearl, sorry you are joining us in such a manner..but welcome!! I just posted in the week 32 for you to come and join us . So what color are your wheels going to be? Black? I am going to go with white since I'm going to have a white roof, bonnet stripes, and mirror caps with AB. Once again welcome to the 33er!!

 

Hi Masterd. Glad to join the group! Mine are being powder coated black. I'm going to black out a lot of the trim as well. I added the JCW aerokit to give it an aggressive look. This is my second Mini, very different from my first which i sold a month ago. I had blue/white roof and white S-Lites on it and it was a Cooper. This one is an S. I know your Mini will look amazing with the white rims since you have the white roof. It gives the car that cat paw appearance. Sweeet!

 

Just out of curiosity, how much is it costing you to get the rims powdercoated? I'm just wondering because there aren't a lot of white rims to be had, so maybe I could find some rims I like and have them powdercoated white. What are your thoughts? And I am jealous of the JCW kit your getting, I just couldn't fork out the money for that thing.

 

The guys I am using for powder coating are charging me $50 a wheel, so $200. That's probably close to the going rate where you live as well. I bought the S-lite wheels for $250 and will sell the bridge spoke wheels with the runflats on them and order Kumho tires from www.tirerack.com to put on the S-lites. I will hopefully break even on doing that since the runflats are going to only have about 50 miles on them when I take them off at the tire place that Tire rack sends my tires to. Basically I need $450 for 4 almost brand new runflats and 4 new bridge spoke rims. That's a pretty good deal for someone I think. The Aerokit is expensive but it's the one thing I got excessive on and bought what I wanted, and not what I needed on the car.

 

I just found out that our Cooper S is in Week 33 production as well!

I love the new Z4 M coupe! Nice Ride!! Looks like you like your toys! I can't convince my wife to let me have more than one at a time, so I am constantly switching in and out of vehicles.

And Wow that is some intake on your S2000 very, very nice!

 

Just picked up my black powder coated S-Lites... sweeeeet.. heavy .. but sweeeeet. Now all I need is a Mini to put them on.. tap tap tap... week 33

 

Supposed to be in week 33, but my Mini does not show as scheduled for production yet, so for all I know, I could be in week 34...

Zorg, welcome!! Mine doesn't say scheduled for production yet either. I called ask mini and they told me I was in week 33. So hope your with us!! Also, what are the stats of your soon to be baby?

 

MC, stick shift (of course!), convenience package, NFR with white top and mirrors, front fog lights (looks cooler and I'm shallow), multi function steering wheel. So a fairly basic car but with everything we want.

Update from the MA: car is going through painting right now!

I just logged onto the Owner's Lounge and the information has been updated to Production is Scheduled and I have a VIN!

 

Congrats Mav! Mine still says "on order," I swear it is never going to move on to production! All I can say is I better be in week 33 or I will be ......well you all know what I will be!

Looks like I am a week 32 convert as well! I called ask mini yesterday and they said my car should go into production at the end of this week and be done next week! My OL still says on order too. Glad to join you other former week 32s here. Go team 33.

 

Just called ASK MINI... the car will be completed by 8/12 or 8/13, then will go through QA testing and from there off onto a boat bound for the USA.

 

As of this morning, the car is scheduled for production, so it seems that I have moved up to week 32. I'll have to change thread!!
