the MA said "Week 33", OL says "on order", Ask MINI says "scheduled for production with no date set".

MA also said look for mid-September delivery.

I'm not sure what the real story is, I just know I'll have a new car at some point.

I'm in CT, ordered at dealer 7/28/07.

 

I guess I'm week 33 as well (OL says scheduled for production and my MA said it should be done 8/13).

How long does it typically take from the end of production to lading in the states?

i ordered 8/4 and was told to expect a mid sept delivery. when i called the mini usa number, i was told week 32-33ish...

 

woohoo.. called ask mini and the computer voice said "your vehicle is in production, estimated completetion date Aug 14th".. yet on the Mini website it still says "on order"..

 

last week I thought I would be very patient/cool and NOT check the OL every day and NOT call ASK MINI every day...
well that lasted about a week.

Now it's: I will NOT bug my MA and I will NOT bypass the computer and talk to a live human at ASK MINI.

You should ask the ask MINI people because they will give you more information. I did the same thing as you and ended up getting pushed back and not knowing until my week was already almost over.

 

I'll (try to) wait until Monday, the 13th, and the official PW 33... try...
Then, yea, I'll call ASK MINI and ask a real live person wt...?

If I have been bumped, it will also be a good time to get a clarification from official MINI people about PW 34 and 35 being non-existant and having to wait for PW 36...?

My MA said if he couldn't get me into PW 33, then it'd be moved to PW 36 as the factory will close / the workers go on holiday/vacation en masse for two weeks (PW 34 and 35 are 0 productivity?)-- something like that.

It was such a buzzkill, I only 1/2 listened...

 

hm.. i'm supposed to be week 34...

OK, I did it, I talked to a real live person at ASK MINI and sure enough, production started on mine yesterday morning. The ASK MINI guy even had it down to the hour minute and seconds...

so with that resolved, I'll go back to patient/cool/calm...

And no, ASK MINI guy didn't know what I was talking about re: PW 34, and 35 so forget I said anything about that (previous post).

finally see a VIN number.. mine is completed on the 14th. oo that's only 4 more days Come to papa! wooohooo!

 

i just e-mailed the local dealer here and i am in the week 33 group as well!

 

My MA told me my baby went into production yesterday. ASK MINI says the est. completion date is Aug 17.

A co-worker in a different dept just got his MCS last week. I'm gonna be tortured for weeks now seeing him drive his into work everyday while I wait for mine. We each ordered them w/o talking to each other and almost ended up with twins. We both got Chili Red, but he got a white roof and I got black. Near miss!

Got my VIN finally!!! And it says "Scheduled for production!!"

 

Oh wow...Im in this group also...OL says In production now and I got my VIN!!!, Also its great, someone else has an AB/W on order (Masterd78)...I thought i was the only one, well mine is a MC. Im so excited!

 

Chakram105, congrats!! And it is nice to see another AB/W going into production. It seems there aren't many of us out there!! All the better right!

hey masterd78, yes i agree, I like being in the minority of mini color combos chosen, makes it even better, but congrats on your mini also!, also congrats to CaMiniMe, the process is quite nice compared to other car makers.

 

Also...is there any pics on here with AB/W...they are so hard to find lol
