...sure you're not on the Faust? ...I think our cars were finished about the same time and I'm picking up mine in Peabody like I assume you are (I see you're in Lowell MA) ...check your vin against the Faust's listing if you haven't already...

 

I checked it again tonight and its showing no cargo with that ID :(

FINALLY. Now the real excitement begins. i am on a ship, just checked 2wglobal and im on the MEDEA vessel. i've waited so long. now i get to wait more, but at least its that much closer

sorry to resurect an old thread but I figured i'd provide an update. I just talked w/ my MA (the first time since shipping) and he said that my Mini, which was completed on 8/13, was scheduled to arrive in the US (East coast) tomorrow. I'm not on a WW ship as my VIN is still not showing up so I must be on a KLine/NYKLine or other carrier. Anyway, just an FYI for those who were completed around that date but are not on a WW ship.

It seems that I am most likely on a K-Line boat as well. My status updated from "At dock awaiting transport" to "In Transit", but my VIN does not bring up anything on the WW site. The most likely ship is the Franconia, departing Southampton 8/31, departing Charleston 9/13.

 

I'm calling the MA on Tuesday and see if he can give me an ETA.

I had to rent a car yesterday since the current car is still unresponsive and I refuse to pay any more into that money pit.

Hoping the Faust - to - NY Port crowd gets our MINIs by next Saturday. oh, how happy I will be!

And spend the rest of the week compiling the tunes for the inugural drive...

 

I spoke to my MA today and my mini (Anderson) was unloaded from the Faust at 13:50. Also he told he thinks delivery at the dealer would next weekend (prob between 9/7-9/12). It is near Buffalo, NY also. So those closer would be less time i think. I prob will pick up on 9/14-9/15. I know the 22nd, I would be able to get for sure, but sooner is great.

 

I was on a KLine ship (born on 8/13) and got a call from my MA who told me the car was already on the way to the dealer!! He said it would be ready for pickup mid-late next week!!! woohoo!!

 

Mine's from Princeton Mini as well

 

Ordered July 30, Born on August 13, arrived at port awaiting vessel on August 16, traveled on FAUST 8/21, arrived in New Jersey 8/30, took delivery on September 1st from Princeton MINI. I was so surprised I received it so fast!!!

Has anybody else from week 33 picked up their MINI?

No, I haven't heard that mine's ready yet. But I'm hoping it came in on the same truck and it's a matter of doing dealer prep.

 

Man, I just found out they gave me the wrong production number at the dealership, and I have been tracking the wrong car for a month! It turns out mine has already been offloaded, and is on a car carrier on its way to the dealer. I might not even be a week 33'r. Does anyone know how to figure out production week retroactively, without having the car yet?

I feel like such a fraud....
...well, at least all the options are correct, now!

 

Try entering the VIN # of the right car on the WW page, that would give you the date, then estimate the time from that point to production. Or try to find one of the other 4,300 (approx) cars produced that week and hope they are a NAM member.
But production weeks are only really popular to those of us tracking an order.

 

Just checked OL... the current status for my car says "Retail." Does anyone know what that means?

EDIT: I also just noticed that the estimated delivery date is 9/3/07... I guess a status of "retail" means its almost/at the dealer... funky because there is no standard "retail" status on the list.
