Yeah, I'm the filthy (right now) Jet Black MCS with the OBSSSSD plates running on 15" wheels right now waiting for it to be transformed (paint job inside and out--thus the filth)--that's usually driving pretty fast. I have tinted windows, so I usually roll them down to wave, lol.

On Sunday, a sparkling silver 07 MCS with plates BCHMINI passed as I was turning right on Catalina? I think, off of Torrance blvd in Redondo Beach -- got a wave out of the passenger and driver...my victim er, passenger for the day was like "Dude...those people are waving..." Anyways, hi from the gal in the ds/b mcs! Made for fun talk on the way to the cheesecake factory in any case...especially since we were following each other

ok is it just me or do the people with (r56) never wave....i see like 15-20 of them a day and never get a wave....im guessing its because its new to them and they dont know better yet.......O Octaneguy i was hoping i would see your car on the freeway lol seeing nice minis on the freeway makes my drive just that much better

 

Hmm. . . I'm in an R56 and wave all the time if I see a MINI! Some folks just are into the practicality and not the spirit of MINI!!!

 

Still live here... actually have a job... and it takes a lot of my time.. but it is letting ADD a Clubman to my stable...

 

I've been at a different time this past week, i.e. I've been an hour late do to a crazy schedule. =) Probably next week we might see each other.

 

Shiney CR S on laurel canyon near oxnard in north hollywood today. cute female driver. we were actually in the grocery store together... she caught my eye... i must've felt the MINI "vibe". afterwards, i was at a light and caught the unmistakable glimpse of a MINI front end out of the corner of my eye. i turned and it was her. we both smiled and waved. i may be married but, i'm not dead . nice clean MINI by the way.

i regularly see a space blue (with meatballs) S down in the warehouse complex where my company has our studio in van nuys on stagg st. older gentleman driver... nice MINI we have waved.

other than that i have NEVER received a return wave.

i'm usually haunting the north hollywood, valley village, studio city area. loud, clean, indi blue R50. if it's a sunny day look for all the tattoos. vanity plate ordered and should be on the way in the next week or 2- "RFIFTY". that'll be me .

 

got a wave from an IB/W MCS in Anaheim crossing an intersection.

Also waved at a young lass in a AB new-gen. She looked surprised and maybe she even smiled.

 

Just spotted a MC40 on the 57north. My friend is driving, so I get to post via blackberry! :-)

 

Was walking home from the Tint shop and passed a guy getting into his CR R56. (4th and Orange?) I asked him if her loved it, he just smiled. He probably thought to himself that it was a stupid question... but maybe he doesn't get it.

I walked the same way a few hours later to pick mine up... No sightings, but the guys at the shop had a lot of questions.

spotted a real nice silver austin cooper s on santa monica in westwood today. looked to be a mk1. and i keep seeing ellistotle's car in palms and westwood

i putz around west la in a red/white r53 w/ bonnet and boot stripes. i live in westwood. my car is a bit out of commission for the moment 'cuz i'm waiting for some parts & work from minicorsa, so not on the road a lot. i'm sure we'll pass each other by on the road one of these days and i'll be sure to wave i'm pretty sure it's your car that i see...unless there's someone else w/ red stripes on the roof

there's also a blue r53 w/ aero kit and american flag roof that i see once in a while around here. and for a whiles back i'd routinely see a gp near westwood park

 

You don't happen to have a dog do you? I saw a red/white R53 the other day near Sepulveda/Palms and there was a dog riding shotgun and he had his head out of the window. I didn't get a good look at the driver (all I know is that he was male) because I was too busy trying to figure out what type of dog it was..

 

Saw one of the Make It Work MINIs (http://www.makeitwork.com) on National Place/Palms Ave. No wave though.. guy was busy staring off into space.

 

At 830AM on 405N, a CR/W MINI with license plate four letters long, starting with Q .. "QUAF" or something like that. Female driver.

 

just saw a cr/b w bstripes on 118e just like mine but this female driver avoided making any kind of contact!!! As if hers was better lollll
