Parked in the San Diego Convention Center lower level as I type this, just saw a new model all Silver MSC - must be here for the Action Sports event...
I just spent a week in Brownsville Texas on business and did not see a single MINI. Seems like some emergency relief is needed for these poor deprived people.
When I get my Clubman, I'll be continuing with that. (although, as I've learned in another thread, not all MINI owners are happy about the new addition to the family. They probably don't wave to begin with.) I'm glad there are a few of you out there who have resisted the LA/OC cultural habit of unfriendly behavior. I hope I pass you someday so I can wave!
Most of the wavers are those that crossed the chasm a while back by adopting their MINIs early on. The non-wavers most likely fall into the pragmatist category and just got their MINI for its "practicality." Then there are the skeptics. They're the arrogant ones who think you're trying to pick up on them or giving them the bird.
...The best return I have had recently was a young lady in Oceanside heading to San Diego just before Christmas. She also had a CR/W like mine except that she had an option I haven't seen on the factory spec sheets.
ANTLERS!
They were cute and she gave a big grin as we both headed down the I-5.
I think this is probably the best use I have seen for the "sports team support flag" mounts that roll up in the window.
If she was in a GP, she's a young lady who persuaded her uncle to give her the car. It was one of the Monterey delivery cars!!!
I found myself behind this MINI (not mine) on a flatbed on my way to work this morning (south on the 133 in Irvine). Hope it's nothing serious.
LY/W MCS near irvine? i remember seeing this one(not many LY MCS's running around anymore) i think its the same one i saw last time i was up there...lady driver...she was driving like a bat out of hell at the time

Whoops. I saw the word "ANTLERS" and responded... there was a young girl at the WCM Toys for Tots Run with an "antlered" GP, and I just flashed on that.

I'll throw this out again. Silver Mini parked at Tri City Hospital in Oceanside. I think a Resp Therapist owns it. Has a custom plate that reads "ready to motor"
CR MCS on the 110 north this morning. Peace sign stickers on the bumper and an endthis war sticker... Being stuck in traffic next to a MINI makes me happy (not, obviously, the traffic part). Next time I see you, I hope I have my MINI to wave from!
i take the 22wst to the 405 to the 110 in the morning and the 405 to the 22 at night i see a crap load of newer MC's on the freeway mainly women drivers ...if you see a 04 MCS silver mini with Dealer plates(Cause someone was using my old license plates so im waiting for new ones to come in) silver top and black stripes thats me ....you guys make my mornings worth the drive THANKS
I followed and waved to a '05 or '06 Dark Silver Cooper S (With Cooper S stripe on door) with plate MNI4LUV this morning on the 91East. Don't know if you saw me, but I lowered my window and waved as I passed, but didn't see a return)
Spotted 2 R53's with Red Bull regalia and cans on the back in El Segundo today. It looks like they chopped off the back of the car to place the can and a little box for storage underneath it.
