I saw lots of MINI's today, including a Mellow Yellow and Silver JustaCooper heading south on the 5, a Mellow Yellow S heading north on the 101 this evening, plus a PW/PW and Silver Cabrio in a Starbucks in Fullerton.

Oh and some guy with a modified Jet Black and red MCS with the licence plate OBSSSD ;o)

Saw a very nice BRG/B R56 today with a bike rack and 2 bikes in the Fry's parking lot in Fountain Valley today. My cousins couldn't stop staring. I don't know if its the bike rack or because they haven't seen the newer model MINIs yet

 

Chatted with a lady at a Chevron station in Covina on Saturday. I believe it was a gray MCS, and you had the same license plate holder as me... haha.

 

spotted a BRG/S Clubman at Taco Bell on Sepulveda in Manhattan beach. Girlfriend wanted to have a look, and he came out and we talked. If you are on here, hello. I totally forgot to plug the site. he stated the dealer talked him into waiting for the Clubman to make room for getting the kids in and out easier.

 

i parked in a structure on main and 6th today way up away from everybody in the corner, i come back 4 hours later to found no other cars nearby, except for the dark silver r53 parked right next to me in the same direction, after a long day, it was the exact sight i needed to see

 

I love seeing these head lights in my rear view mirror.



I found this 1980 Classic MINI cooper on the 10 freeway going west and exiting Crenshaw. Thats when i noticed the for sale sign. Nice guy, he said he really liked my MINI. and I wish i could have bought the classic off him...

Spotted R56 Blk/Wht "CHP MINI" all the way from the southbound 71 to the 133 in OC this morning. Gave him a thumbs up at a toll plaza, but couldn't tell if he saw or responded.

 

Wow, I can't believe it. I was late to the shop today, and spotted two MINIs, and got acknowledged twice!! First was on the 105E with a great looking blacked out MCSC with red accents-red mirror caps, red MINI emblem, and a red vinyl star I think near the S side grill vents. We played for a bit before we merged on to separate freeways. When you took off, I was flooring it in 5th with the AC on and you continued pulling away, very nice!!

Then as I got off the 57 freeway at Orangethorpe, I caught up to a blue MCS who was going down the same side streets I do to my shop. He waved at the stop sign. Pretty cool day!!!

two days ago i think, i went to whole foods and best buy on sepulveda. Came out and found a black R53 parked right next to me. I am thinking it wasn't a coincidence.

 

It wasn't me, but i do take the opportunity to park next to another Mini if I see one in the parking lot. Not really sure why, now I think of it, but there you go.

 

Saw a yellow '68 Cooper today with the plates "68 COOPR" in the carpool lane of the 405N. Gave him a thumbs up, gave me one back

 

I picked up my very dirty MINI at the airport lot today.. my British Racing Green / White MINI looks more like British Racing Brown / Silver.

Saw a PS R53 with a personalized plate that I think was supposed to say "Coup de grace" (CPDGRCE) in that same parking lot.

 

Saw my first (other than mine) clubman today! BRG/B on the 405N, somewhere between Irvine and Huntington Beach, I think. No Wave, but it was cool to finally see a clubman on the road.

I had my first Clubman sighting! CR/B dark tint, I waved, unknown if it was returned. I was heading west on Tustin nearing Lincoln. At about 6:30pm. What a great way to end a crappy day.

Also there is a LY/B MCSC R53 that parks in the same parking lot that I do for work, the plate is 8(heart)CANDY.

 

Spotted an Electric Blue MCS on the 105 freeway today around 1:45pm... I waved, didn't get to see if he waved back.

 

A couple days ago I was leaving the CSU San Bernardino campus and as I pulled up to the stoplight, sitting right in front of me on the opposite side of the light was a "highly modded" MINI. I saw red mirror caps and an aero kit, and could tell it had been dropped a few inches and had tinted windows. I didn't realize it was a GP until we both started turning in opposite directions, and get this- the driver waved!

I was kinda stunned because no one ever waves on my side of town (even though MINI are popping up like crazy lately), but moreso because I've never seen a GP so close to my house/school.

If that person is reading this, let's talk!

 

I was on highland and a PW/B clubman was turning south. Got a wave back. That was nice.

 

i got a wave from a dark sliver s with a black top this morning on the 10 west!

 

First waving experiences today:
While waiting at a left turn I saw a GP coming towards me, he waved but by the time I saw it (sun/glare/etc) I couldn't wave back in time. A stop sign or two later on Camelback (or whatever that street is) someone in a red mini waved and I waved back this time.

 

As I was exiting northbound 605 at Imperial, a Hyper Blue/White Cooper getting ready to exit at Firestone (the next offramp from me). I stuck my hand out and waved. Driver returned the greeting.

 

i drive up to 405 almost everyday to SMC from torrance.

spotted many MINIs in my prior 4 months of MINI ownership and despite my efforts, ZERO has waved back at me. me so sad.
