First spotting was on Twin Oaks Valley in San MArcos around 5:30 pm - It was a cooper in white.....then I think I saw the same one again about an hour later (or it might have just been a glitch in the Matrix!)

And then in Mission Valley at around 7:30pm another peper white cooper turning into the Borders parking (I was rolling in my MCS silver)

Thats the first time I've seen more than one in a day.

yesterday on the northbound 605 around noon, I saw a BRG/B with white stripes on my way to the bank. Nice looking ride. I was the guy with the goatee in the little white plymouth AP body. about halfway between the 405 and 91. I saw the driver look my way but it was as I realized I needed to return my attention to the road and not his car.

 

Today at about 7am on the 405 North in Irvine. It was a "MINI" caravan!!! There were 4 MINIs in the fast lane.

Hollis was in the back. Good to see you, man!! (BTW: Did you always have the stripe?? It looks great!!)

Where were you guys going?? Steve's Auto Clinic?? (I was on my way to work in LA. )

WOW! Three spotting this morning on the way to work.
#1 MC PW with a middle stripe with pin stripes on each side in black. I was behind you all the way up Deerhorn onto Longbow till the 405 in Sherman Oaks

#2 Going Eastbound on Muholland by Longbow a MCSc CR, I waived, you waived back

#3 Getting on the 405 S at Muholland a dark gray MCS with personalized plates and an aero kit.

For a while #1 and #3 and me were a little caravan waiting to get onto the freeway!

What a cool way to start the morning

 

Wow - I should drive to work more often - but the train is so much easier...

Anyway - yesterday - parked in the SD Convention Center lot - I left a note on a brand new Cabrio - BRG/G MC........

This morning - 6:00am - getting of the 5 going south - at Genesee Ave. - a PW/B........

Noonish - BRG/B Cabrio (top down) in Del Mar on the 101 going North.......

2:00pm or so - crusing through the Carlsbad Outlet Mall parking lot - a Yellow Cabrio with black top (down)....

2:30pm ish - DS/B getting off the 78 on to Vista Dr. - we waved - Yayyy!!!

Spotted Thursday, LY/LY on Temple in Walnut at the 57 fwy (I was at Wendy's).....only second LY/LY I've seen.....anyone on here??

 

12/17/05 OctaneGuy's c3 Cooper spotted in Alhambra on Main or Las Tunas (I sounded my horn, then I noticed that I wasn't in my MINI )

 

Know what... Octane guy is always in that area... I've seen him before around there too... and on the 10 East by Garfield and New Ave Exit.

 

DS/W MCS exited northbound 605 and headed east, lost her at Norwalk Blvd. (where I had to turn).

I honked, driver gave me "why-you-honking-at-me" look.

Oh that was you??? I figured it was just another grumpy old motorist. I get honked, flashed, and cussed at all the time. On Saturday night I was dropping off and picking up my son from my inlaws so I could attend our c3 holiday party.


Yeah, we used to come every other day, but now it's just twice a week until we need additional baby sitting days! I'm all over that area.

How come I'm always sighted when people aren't in their MINI's ?

 

Around 3pm, i saw a red and white MINI cooper with a huge white circle on the door exit the 5 Freeway by Disney Land in anaheim. it had some sort of design on it, but i was to far to see it..

who ways that??

 

Last night on the 78 west bound around 7pm. Gave a wave, nothing in return...older dude... what gives?

 

I've got a couple of new MINI neighbors near me in University Heights (San Diego).

An EB/W MCS moved in about a block north of the another EB/W MCS that lives on Maryland. The new one had a "for sale" sign in the window this weekend, so it may be gone now.

An IB/W MCS with bonnet stripes has been parked on Madison near Maryland the past few days, too.

Has someone here moved into my neighborhood?

 

I also spotted a MINI (I think a darker colour) a while ago in the Claremont Colleges area. I will be attending next year. Is that anyone here?

 

ya know we should get the socal mini's together...im a recent owner of a 03 LY/B MCS...prowling the streets on san diego but mostly the point loma area....saw a few minis...one driver waived....also got a wave from a driver of a orange MCSC on highway 101

 

There are lots of SoCal MINI gatherings!

But also lots of SoCal MINIs who don't seem to join a club or engage in waving. Pay them no mind, or smile and wave and hope they catch the fever.

 

ya ive noticed that....but hey its all good....cuz i get plenty of waves from other drivers....hell i was up around solana beach the other day on S8 on that nice curvy road and had a guy with a Aston Martin DB9 join in on the motoring fun...at the end he complimented me on my car and gave the thumbs up....nice to see that some owners of supercars give the little guys some respect and compliments

 

i tell ya what next time a socal meet is coming up please hit me up....id really like to meet other owners

 

Dec. 21 - on the 57 Grand exit offramp, yellow (at night, so couldn't see roof colour) MC(S??) pre-facelift with a very nice exhaust. Anyone here?

 

There's about 3 Mini's around that area that is always around a blue one, british racing green, and mine is a dark silver... hope you don't mind being in the suburbs for college.. the one god send is that that area has great mountain roads that are just perfect to drive the mini on..

 

Well I work @ Diamond Bar Honda, always on the Grand ramps and my BB is LY/LY MCS...but I have a stock exhaust....so far! I have seen one other in the area (Walnut) plus a CR/MCS with a roll cage, wheels, etc.
