Exiting Parkway Calabasas yesterday at about 11:30AM, I pulled up next to a PS/B MCS. I gave a nice wave to the driver, who had no idea why I was waving at him.

Who ARE these people, and why are they driving a MINI?!?!

 

11/12/05 5:30p.m. ish... Red MCS with the plate Actual Size on the 5 north and to the 710 north all the way to Valley Blvd. We were in heavy traffic and it was dark already. I kept trying to look over when ever you passed me or I passed you to see if you'll acknowledge me but I never saw you did... and I know you saw me as I let you cut in front of me once and we passed each other several times and you even followed me for a bit by the 710 to 10E interchange.

 

Chased a DS up Torrey Pines Road yesterday around 4pm. Exchanged waves at signal at the top of the hill. Not my usual rate of speed for going up that hill!

 

Thats an awesome road to Flatten up.

 

PS/B MCS with "PBIMINI" plates
Thursday night. Northbound on Golden State passed Roxford, then transitioned to 14. I flashed lights and honked. Nothing. Hope you didn't think I was some gangbanger trying to dog you.

Lost you somewhere around Palmdale.

 

Spotted last Tuesday, WB on the 91 in Riverside: Three CR/Ws, two were within a car length of each other, the third about a mile back. I was EB in my LY/LY MCS, tho hard to see each other with the center divider that high

 

Yesterday afternoon around 3:30 or so - in Carlsbad - parked just off the 101 - a PW with black stripes and a CR (I see the Chili Red one there all the time - must live there). Anybody here???:smile:

Seen a guy in a red cooper with dark colored wheels driving around Laguna area. He always waves and seems like a nice guy. Anybody know who I'm talking about?

 

I thought for a second it might be But then I realized I coulndt drive two minins at the same time, no matter how hard I tried

 

Spotted last Sunday morning, around 8:20 am, on nb 5 just north of Oceanside; Blk/blk MCS, lowered, wearing black wheels with polished rims. I flashed you the peace sign, we were in the silver Honda S2000. Ya here?

Well, this thread needs some reviving!

Monday morning rush hour traffic (7 a.m.) in San Diego, on the I-5 southbound near the I-8 intersection. A very nice turquoise and white Rover Mini with dark haired lady driver bombing along amongst the 'big' cars roaring down the freeway. May have exited at Old Town.

Way cool! Too bad I was in my Mazda pickup and not my MINI or my '73 Innocenti...

I got a glimpse of a burgundy classic Mini heading south on I-5 near Sorrento Valley yesterday morning. Unfortunately, I was heading north on the other side of the freeway.

 

I stopped posting my sightings when it became clear that NONE OF THEM are on NAM. I did see a CR/W with a blonde girl driving at Lake Murray Blvd/Jackson intersection just after 9AM yesterday. I tried to wave, but she seemed clueless as to my existence. HOW DID SHE NOT SEE MALIBU STACY IN HER REARVIEW MIRROR?

 

Don't get discouraged. There are many of us NAMmers out there on SoCal roads.

I know you guys ARE out there, you're just not the MINI owners that I'm seeing! For some reason all the ones in my neighborhood are not on NAM and not in West Coast MINIs. Why the heck did they even BUY a MINI then?

 

i know!! i'm in OC and i see bunches of MINIs around and no one to wave to! I see a BRG/B mcs on the way to work taking the 133 sometimes, but he's always going the other way. I see a CR/W MCS on Aliso Creek all the time, he doens't look around. I saw a CR/B MCSC getting on the 73 at el toro on my way to work once too. no waves. all seem to be concentrating on just the road. However, yesterday on my way home on Culver around 6pm i waved to a Black/Black MCS (dunno AB or JB cuz it was night time) cuz he was next to me, on the phone, and he waved back too. yay! :D

 

Yesterday 11/29/05 Tuesday. LY MCS Bulding 28 parking lot of Boeing. 2 pm ish

 

EB/W MC this morning southbound on Pioneer Blvd. between Centralia and Carson. Exchanged waves.

 

Electric Blue White MINI Cooper? the regular? Not the S??? I didnt know they made the MC in EB here in the US!!!!!

 

He, he! It's funny because at first I thought it was you from a distance, but it was too easy to catch up to. That's when I saw the single tailpipe on the right and knew it was someone else.

Yesterday I also saw a BRG pulling out onto 195th (east). Don't know what side street it was but it's the one right next to that elementary school between Norwalk and Pioneer. Occasionally I see a Pepper White pulling out from there onto 195th (westbound). Both are VERY S L O W.

Have you seen the Liquid Yellow that gases up at the . . . ahem . . . "Thrifty" station on South and Norwalk? (It sports a great big 44 on the door panels.)

 

Wait! what!!! so they did make the Electric Blue for the regular????? Noooooooooooo waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Its suppose to be exlcusive... at least for the US. And discontinued now too.

I sometimes see a fellow Indi Blue NAMmer on my way to work. He drives an S while mine is a Cooper. I thought it was him.
