Around 3 PM today I parked next to a PW/B MINI in the Ralph's parking lot in El Segundo at Sepulvida and Mariposa. GB plate on front and a C3 sticker on the boot. As I came out of the store, you were still parked next to me and an older man walked by and complimented our cars (which I felt entitled to accept on your behalf, since our MINIs are kin). The funny thing was that he asked if that (yours) was my husband's car. Only after I drove away did it occur to me how odd it would be for a husband and wife to have identically matching cars.

We don't have matching MINI's but we both have one. Mine is the Cabrio - his is the hard top...

Wow, today was a good day! Saw a cabrio LY with a green top???? right here in Hemet! He waved, I waved. Big smiles all around.

Then an hour later, saw him again, going down my street! Waves again. He must live in the neighborhood somewhere! Cool, so far here, we have a CR/CR, CR/W, EB/W, LY/B, IB/W and now a LY Cabrio!

 

I work in Calabasas on opposite of 101 at Calabasas Parkway but am frequently parked in the vicinity of the Starbucks in the early AM or on my way home. CR/B MCS/JCW with gray Panasport wheels.

I frequently see a PW/B MC parked near King's Seafood and have also spotted another CR/B MCS in the lot.

Blacknblue you are close, pretty close but it was 195th not 183rd. I knew you were headed to your donut shop but I was running really, really late and couldn't race you down Pioneer to it. Next time. Anyway weren't you way off course today you usually come south on the 605 don't you?

PS/PS Cooper on the 241, exiting Lake Forest. Cute girl, but gave me the typical Southern Californian "I know you're looking, but I'm going to pretend I have no idea you're there and just keep looking straight ahead" crap.

 

After 30 years, I still get confused with those numbered streets.

Anyway, the wife's work schedule changed this week. Now I'm taking kids to their preschool on Norwalk and South, so I've been going that way to the donut shop.

My summer vacation begins next week so I'll have plenty of motoring time to spot fellow MINIacs!

I'm not a big Starbucks fan, so I wouldn't have seen you there...if I buy coffee, it's at the Coffee Bean across the street. The CR I always see is in the shared parking lot of my building. I am also off Parkway Calabasas, in the building with the library. Is that you??

I have the PS MCS...but you may not see me as I typically roll in to the office after 10AM, and am in the field alot too.

 

2 PM Sunday afternoon, I saw Brian's daughter’s Silk Green Cooper on PV South heading to west following another MINI.
I was on my way home from PV Mall.

 

I work at the big new building at the top of the hill past the Chevron station. There are two of us there, both with CR/B MCS / JCWs (strictly coincidence). I see another CR/B MCS from time to time in the parking lot behind the white stucco building behind the Chevron station (our old office). What with Bob Smith up the road the area is generally filthy with MINIs. It is hard to keep track.

 

I love that: "filthy with MINIs."

Who's damaged grey convertible was that on the southbound I-15 in San Diego this morning? Did the semi hit you or vice versa?

 

Yesterday on 805 South around 6:30pm followed a PW/B MC for a while. I flashed my "Hey, Sexy" card, but there was too much traffic to hang around to see if you noticed (I still missed my exit, though).

This morning on 163 North around 8:30, waved to a PW/PW MCS.

PWs of San Diego, unite!

 

Saw a black/white top MCS today in the Point Loma area of San Diego, on Rosecrans Street. That is a rare color combination - I've never seen a B/W Mini. Also had a Union Jack and aftermarket exhaust. Good looking car, driven by a good looking blond. I was in my IB/W MCS with U.J. - waves were exchanged.

 

Three spottings this morning:

LY/B MC on the 57 South.

BRG/W MCS on the 5 South.

PW/B MCS on Lake Forest Dr, turning onto Vista Terrace, in Lake Forest.
